post workout Jerk ? ?

So everyone is really pushing the 30 minute post workout protein window concept and so I have been eating 1 oz. beef jerky with a small handful of shredded wheat cereal. This is wicked portable (obviously) and I can eat it in the locker room right after I work out...
this jerky is 80 cals, 15 gr. protein, 3 sugar/carbs, 0.5 fat.

What do you think (apart from you don't care for beef), will it work?

I'm not sure about your situation however, I can tell you that my husband has been working out for 30 years (he is approaching 50, looks 30, 20 inch arms, well you know what I mean) and he still does the protein shakes. I think it is Muscle Milk. Wish you success--do what works for you;-)

Depends on how much salt is in it. I know you are losing salt when you work out and so this might actually make beef jerky ideal, but you really don't need that much and I tend to avoid extra salt if at all possible. If this isn't a concern for you enjoy!
