OT BUT PLEASE HELP
I really need some help here, I am 6 weeks from having my 2nd child and my husband and I can't agree on a name. Please help me find a name, any suggestions would be awesome.
Sat. Jan 19, 1:12pm
have you thought about naming your second child after the grandparents, if its a girls after your and his mother and if its a boy after his and your father
Saturday, January 19, 2008, 1:43 PM
I have thought of that but my fathers name was Harvey and he hated his name and quite frankly I don't care for that and his fathers name is James and that is just to ordinary.
I realize I forgot to say that we are having a BOY!

Jayce - only because that's what I wanted to name my last child but my husband said I was on too many drugs (LOL!) We ended up naming him Ryan but I still regret not sticking to Jayce! Its a cool name.
Also Mason, Dean, Aiden - all newer not so common names.
Good luck with whatever you choose and congratulations!

My maiden name is George and I sort of regret not getting that into my son's name somewhere, like in the middle. Would a maiden name somewhere in the family fit as a boy's name?

I love L names for boys. For some reason, they just sound good with most last names, and they work well for both boys and men. Some names are cute for babies but you have to remember they are going to be an adult for most of their life :)
Here are the ones I like:
Liam
Landon
Leland
I also really like the name Drew :)

We were in the delivery room before we could make up our mind! In fact, all of our kids were named several hours after they were born because we both had strong opinions. We ultimately went with 1 Biblical name and two ethnic names. We used the internet A LOT for ideas and even asked our parents to list all of the family names they could remember. There were some really fun ones there. I really wanted my kid's names to be gender specific so we went with Isaiah, Elena and Nadia.

Thanks!

so what name have you chosen??
Wednesday, January 23, 2008, 10:24 AM
yeah! What is it going to be??
Wednesday, January 23, 2008, 10:33 AM
Try not to pick a name that can be shortened, my mom Deborah, HATES being called Debbie, with a passion, she named both of her children names that couldnt have nick names "chosen for us" and I am so greatful.
Wednesday, January 23, 2008, 11:00 AM
We went with Evan and he picked the middle name James. I think its a strong name that sounds good in any sort of world once he's grown. It can't be made fun of and as far as it being shortened there is not much one could do with it. Thanks again.
Wednesday, January 23, 2008, 11:45 AM
Congratulations! It's a nice name.
