I've had the same problem - I've gone from a size 12 to a size 4 and look like I've had a few kids with the stretch marks and sagging breasts.

Any tipswould be welcome!!

Stretch marks? yikes!

Well, this french teacher from my old school told me once that she used body butter (it comes in all different fruit flavour) for her stretch marks after having her baby. She said that it was amazing and you can get them at any body shop. Of course, I use it too, my favourite flavour is the nut one...it smells great!

There is nothing that can makes stretch marks go away. You might be able to get them to fade but they will always be there. Some people just have the type of skin that they do get stretch marks even thin people get them.

This might help

Well, I have heard of some pregnant women getting creme prescribed by their physicians to take them away. Maybe you should ask your doctor or cocoa butter works.

The creams don't work! But the manufacturer would like you to think they do. It's a hereditary thing, but I never think they look bad. I hardly notice them.

Mederma

Hey, thought I would chime in. I have had stretch marks for a long time, on my biceps brachii skin as well as my upper hips / love handles. While it doesn't exactly "erase" your stretch marks, Mederma (which can be bought at any drug store, relatively inexpensive) *does* in fact diminish the visibility of them, if you use it religiously.

Peace,

I agree with the above posters, creams like cocoa butter or others just don't work and don't waste your money. Stretch marks will never go away but you can fade them with something like Mederma or something like it. Ask your doc about the different things.

ERASE? NOPE! DIMENISH? YES!

Using Mederma and Stri-Vectin will dimenish the appearance of stretch marks, but nothing gets rid of them unfortunately. I too have a few stretch marks and I use Stri-Vectin regularily (you have to be committed to using it or it doesn't help) and then I use a daily moisterizing self tanner...this combination has worked pretty well. It's a lot of maintenance, but I suppose most of us girls are used to that! Good luck!

Stretch marks will not go away. They may fade a bit but they will always be there. I lost a lot of weight too and I have some on my upper butt/waist area. It's funny because I see all the stretch marks on my body but my best friend tells me she only noticed them when I pointed them out. Just like cellulite you can't get rid of it but keep working out and it may get a little tighter but you'll still have dimples.

tummy tuck

I have looked and looked and no matter what anyone says.... creams don't work.
After having my son my stomach has stretch marks covering it!!! And the only way that I have found to get rid of them..... is a tummy tuck. I can't get them to fade and the more weight I lose the mroe visible they become and the more my stomache sags.... so I am having them cut out.

Mederma

One thing that people should know about Mederma though before you buy it and use it. Mederma will ONLY work on new stretch marks. It will not work on old stretch marks. A new mark will look pink or redish brown in color. An old mark will look white with a silvery look to it. Mederma will not do anything for old stretch marks. Only new ones.
