Is Caffeine really bad for you?
I've been hearing conflicting information regarding the benefits of caffeine consumption. In moderation, 2-3 copus of coffee/day is not bad and in fact has benefits. However, I know people who treat caffeine like a drug and think I'm crazy when I sip my daily 12 oz can of coke. Curious to know if you all are off the "juice" and why.

I gave up all caffeine about 6 months ago and I cannot believe the difference. My legs don't hurt, my skin and hair look better, I don't have cravings in the afternoon, I'm not groggy or feel like i'm detached, and my stomach doesn't hurt. Not to mention the benefit to my teeth!
Tea, water, and v8 Fusion (2x daily) are the only things I drink now. Once in a great while I will have a soda and I bloat right up and feel crappy for it.

btw--i'm allergic to coffee, so i've never drank it.

There are a TON of threads with good (as well as not-so-good) opinions and info on this subject - so many that instead of bumping, like, 10 old threads, I've linked the list you would have gotten if you'd put "caffeine" in the search window. You get more results if you misspell it by dropping off the final e. I won't even comment on what that implies.

ahhhh....but you did comment you sneaky little poster
This is for the 2:51 PM poster. How nice of you to overlook the fact that some of us are not trying to get a good grade here, we are just looking for information, support, encouragement, and the opportunity to interact. By the way, your well intended "link" does not work. It is good that you were kind enough to leave instruction on how to use the search feature. Thank you for your kind input. It was most amusing.

You have way too much time of your nasty little hands. WAY too much.

2:52 to the two PPs: My "waste of time" was still more helpful than your responses, which are focused on starting a bitchfest and completely irrelevant to the topic. But if it keeps you away from the cookies, I say go for it.

But seriously now . . .we got a little off track here . . .
Is caffeine good or bad for you and with what do you support your opinion or statement on? Please only reply if you really want to be helpful and have something to say on the subject. Thank you all!
