Biggest Loser Finale Tonight!
Don't forget the Biggest Loser Finale is tonight! Who do you want to win? I would like to see Bill get the title, because I think he has worked the hardest and has the most integrity.
Tue. Dec 18, 11:52am
I can't wait to see what they all look like now! I guess I'm rooting for Bill, too; but would have liked several of the ones who were voted off already to win!
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 12:04 PM
Me too! I liked Kae the best, so when she got voted off I was bummed. But from the remaining people, I do like Bill.

I really liked Neil...I wish he would have won...
Personally, I can't really stand any of the women that are left, so I'm rooting for Bill at this point. Either way, I really just want to tune in to see how everybody's bodies have changed!!!

OK, since you said it first 12:11...I can't stand the 3 women either!! I don't know what it is ...Holly always looks miserable, Isabeau seems kinda sly and evil and the mom is a little too perky. But I do respect and admire their accomplishments!!
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 12:19 PM
Julie (the mom) used to bother me a bit with that perkiness but she's really grown on me. I have to say I reallly don't know why everyone seems to dislike the girls. I missed a few episodes so maybe there was something in one of those. I'm excited to see how they look now. And what they've achieved is amazing.
Thanksfor the reminder. I would have forgotten!

As much as I'd love to see a woman take the title...
Hollie - does she even know how to smile? Even once? She's got one of those permanently dour, miserable expressions...such a pretty girl, what a shame.
Julie - great personality, would love to see her win especially since she was overcoming the negative metabolic effect of PCOS. However, at 218 to start, she wasn't "big enough" to have a decent shot at winning (same goes for Kae), since the winner usually loses about 50% of their weight.
Isabeau - another one with a tendency to look absolutely miserable, but there were glimpses of an improvement in her overall disposition over the 3 months that she was losing on the show. Given her starting weight and her success on campus, she's the only female with a real shot at the title.
Bill - great guy, very much deserves to be the champ...but with 3 women in the final, this may be the only real chance for a woman to win, given that the show is averse to female contestants over the 300-lb mark.

I also hoped the women would take the prize this time - but I don't care for them. Hate to be a repeater, but Hollie is depressing to watch, Julie is annoying and LOVES to hear herself talk, and Isabeau doesn't seem real. Awesome accomplishments - no doubt about it. Unfortunately, I think these ladies succumbed to stereotypes of women being overly emotional beings - I thought these three were quite whiny. I would have been proud to see Kae take it. Great show!

we're feeling awfully critical today, aren't we? imagine if you were on the show making a huge effort to change your life and there's people out there talking about how miserable you look without ever having met you. think about it.
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 3:13 PM
thought about it. You suck.
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 4:51 PM
OP here- let's not make this one of those threads where people get all nasty, okay?
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 5:18 PM
I excited to see all of them, not just the final four. In past seasons some of the most amazing transformations weren't even in the final four.
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 6:11 PM
I am sooo excited, too! This is my first year watching the show and I am so excited to see the finale! I like them all and they have all worked so hard - very motivating. PS - LOVE Jillian!!!

I would consider giving up my kids' college educations to have Bob be my personal trainer! LOL
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 6:42 PM
I really really wanted B to win. I am sad he got voted off, but would now like to see Bill win. I also think the women are annoying!

How can you guys hate the girls? Hollie is my favorite I've loved her from the beginning. I did not want both twins to win! That was just a joke! Some girls need to win!
Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 2:15 AM
Will it ever be physically possible for a woman to win on this show? Will any woman ever be able to lose 50%+ of her body weight in 8 months? Seems like the deck is stacked against us Ladies, and the guys may always win. That stinks!
Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 4:08 AM
Maybe when they put a 350-lb woman on the show, we'll have a fair shot.
Or if, instead of a % of their total weight, it's represented as a % of all the weight they can possibly lose.

I doubt a woman will ever win, because the mechanics of weight loss differ so greatly between the sexes. My parents are typical. They'd set up a funny little contest, and Mom would eat carefully and work out every day; Dad would cut back his junk food by maybe a handful of M&Ms a week and play an extra hour of basketball on Saturday (his only workout) and beat the socks off Mom.
Muscle burns fat. Men's muscle is generally more dense and quicker to develop, and so for the same effort they get more result. Just one example.
I liked Julie okay, and it was GREAT to see Hollie smile last night. Isabeau seemed not quite straightforward. I didn't mind seeing the twins win--I loved their attitudes. Bill never did or said anything against anyone in any of the shows I watched, and he often did very supportive things but in a quiet way. Neil lost me when he cheated. I liked Bryan. Kae's grit was refreshing but she also seemed to have a mean streak (that lightened as she did).
But the twins were so supportive of each other, so easy on the other players, and Bill's love for his family was just cool to see.
I've thought a few times how neat it would be if one of the winners would say, as the cheering died down, "YEAH! Hey, can we split this X number of ways? I'm just so impressed with everyone's effort!" I'd do that if it were me...but then, I suppose the show couldn't allow it to occur publicly, because how would they top that in the next series? The next winner would just look selfish...

All I can say is WOW they all looked amazing!
Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 10:59 AM
I was so sad when Neil lost by 5 lbs for the $100,000 prize. He worked so hard, and was really sweet! It was kind of disapointing to see the twins win...would have been nice to share the winnings around...but all in all, they all lost amazing amounts of weight, and changed their lives!

New one starts January 1st. Woo hoo!

Did anyone see the Final Four in Us Weekly? I thought they looked even thinner than they did at the finale! Can't wait for the new one tomorrow night!!
