Proactive Face Stuff
Does it work? I am 26 and recently started getting pimples. I keep seeing Proactive, but I am wondering if it is worth it? I use Cetaphil face soap now but it apparently isn't strong enough anymore!! Thanks!

I have heard from my closest friends that it is no good. IT bleached all of her pillow cases and tshirts. Also she kept breaking out. Funny- she just switched to Cetaphil. Maybe you skin has gotten accostumed to it. Change it up w/ dial or nuetragema something else mild. that stuff is just so severe.
Also- I know that it sounds weird but coconut oil really works. when mI use it my face completely clears up..

Yeah I've been using it for 5+ years now and it works. Yes, it's really expensive, but if you don't waste it, it lasts a long time. For awhile now I've just been using it every other day and I only buy at max 3 kits per year. My face is a lot better now. Sure, it could be better but that's probably b/c I don't put a towel over my pillow when I sleep and I touch my face a lot haha...so I get some minor ones on the sides of my face.

I tried it a while ago, but it dried my skin too much.

I have oily skin and it didn't work for me. I now use the Cindy Crawford Meaningful Beauty line and LOVE IT. My skin isn't oily anymore or dry, i don't break out, and it's taking care of those early 30's wrinkles I am starting to get.

I used it years ago and it worked for me. I was seeing a lot of breakouts and at 30 you don't want that. I tried it for about 3 months and started seeing results after about a year I stopped having breakouts. I do remember it drying out my skin a bit but I thought it was worth it. My skin looked a lot better and clearer. I also stopped sleeping on cotton pillow cases and used only satin. A friend of mine uses it and swears by it. But all skin is different, what works for one might not work for the another.

Yes all skin is different and I have heard it works for some and for others it can make acne worse. I personally have never tried it but I am a Mary Kay consultant and not that I am trying to sell you Mary Kay but since I have been using it and washing mt face morning and night and using moisturuzer I have not had nearly the problems I used to. I have alot of customers who also have seen results by simply changing their skin care regimen.
If you have dry skin problems I would recommend not using something as drying as Proactive. Get yourself a good high qualtiy cleanser and moisturizer and use them morning and night religiously. Give it a month or so and you will notice a difference!

it worked for me. I have combination skin, and it does dry me out a bit, so I use Neutrogena oil-free moisture after I put on the Proactiv repairing lotion. I've been using it for several months, and my face is now even-toned and I get maybe one zit every month or two, rather than 3 or 4 at a time.
