Tall girls: height/weight/size inquiry

I noticed from that height/weight/size post that those (I am assuming they are women from the sizes) women 5'8 and above have very different sizes even though weight is within 10-15 lbs of each other.

Please contribute again along with where you are that size, ie, GAP, A&F, Ann Taylor, Designer, etc.

I am an Ann Taylor 10/12, Urban Outfitters 13, but I feel I am a true 12.
Measurements: 36 DD- 32- 45 hips

Wearing a size 12 Tommy Hilifiger pants right now. Also bought 12's at Ann Taylor and the Gap this weekend. Tried on 13 at DKNY this weekend and they were too small.

Interesting post.

Body composition makes a huge difference

Weight training has been a huge blessing as it "packs it all in" and tightens you up. I haven't lost any weight while weight training, but I dropped two blouse sizes and started running again.

soory hit the button. I think that you can pack it in faster if you are tall.

size 14 pretty much anywhere. I've sworn off women's jeans until this low-rise thing is over. Jeans are Levis 550s (aka relaxed fit) 34x32.

back in the day I was 150 lbs and I wore ... a size 12. Except for formal dresses - size 14 if the zipper came up above my ribcage.

Canadian EH!

I notice some of the brand name you's have listed here, arent available in Canada, but most of the sizing sems to be pretty much the same...I think! hard to tell w/out seeing the bodies. Myself:
5'9"
196
15/16 in a stretch fabric bottom( dont even wanna know what it is w/out stretch!)
xl - 1x top i dont like tops that are tight fitting.
most of my weight is on my butt & hips (& legs) my upper halfis quite narrow, but i like looser tops.
I dont think just listing our height/weight & size is enough...need to kow where the weight is carried and how we are shaped for a more accurate idea.

I am 5 ft. 12
I weight 310 lbs.
I wear a size 24... sometimes a 22 or 26, depending on the clothes...
I have yet to find any nice, porportionately cut designer clothes to indulge in... most stuff my size looks like tents... but hey, I'm working on it... that's why I'm here! ;o)

5'8", low 170s, 36B, size 10 shoe (used to be wide, but apparently I lost weight in my feet at some point)
I love Ann Taylor - consistent 10 in shirts and slacks - the length of the pants is perfect! With tops I have to be careful about sleeve length, but generally a medium is okay.
Before I started running, I would have been in 12s at this weight, but now I can wear a 10 until I hit 180 and then they get tight I get back on track!
