Snacks to fill you up

I saw this on my local news, and I tried it this morning. I had a small omlette made with egg whites, and I filled it with veggies, avocado & tomato. I had a half a cup of lowfat kefir (similar to yogurt) with it. I'm usually hungry by now, but I'm still pretty full. I can't say for certain whether it is due to this trick, but it can't hurt to try.

Basically, it says that combining certain protein (found in cottage cheese & yogurt), oligofructose (asparagus, legumes, potatoes, tomatoes, and wheat) and oleic acid (avocados, nuts, and olive oil) releases a hormone that tightens the valve from the stomach to your intestinal track that in turn creates a feeling of satisfaction.

OP - clarification

I should clarify that I had that for breakfast, not snack. So you can apply this concept to your other meals as well.
