Someone brought donuts in. I just want to go spit on them.
Is that crazy? I just want to.

lol. Maybe you could throw them out and pretend like you ate them all. At least they'll be gone.

It's a little crazy but I do understand. :-)
I was actually relieved when the company I work for decided to stop providing free junk food (candy dish, doughnuts, bagels, etc). It's been a lot easier to stay on track that's for sure!

nope, not crazy. if they're not gone by lunch, throw out at least three. the really good ones. leave the nasty looking ones. or just go touch a couple of them. leave really obvious thumb prints. or rip a few in half (rip, not cut) and toss several halves. if you still feel the need to spit on them, do it to the ones in the trash. ;)

sounds like you're right on track with avoiding the ishy food in your life. good for you! i know it's hard to resist temptation, but hang in there, you can do it!

I think that part of the personal change is to realize that it is a personal change. It is very immature to punish others and their donuts, chocolates, etc. b/c you cant handle your own temptations.
If someone were a recovering alcoholic they couldnt be upset that a restaurant serves alchol.
I'm allergic to dogs, but I am not upset when people bring them to the park.
In order to maintain your weightloss you have to build up your resistance to temptation.

resist them, you can do it, the pleasure only lasts a few seconds after you've eaten them, but the guilt lasts a lot longer!

It's not a horrible thing, it's an hilarious thing! We know you would never actually spit on someone else's food.
When I was in my late teens/early twenties we used to go to a cottage with friends. At the same time, the hosts' brother would bring his friends up (male teenagers). Being male, they didn't always think to bring enough food and would steal from each other. It got to the point that if one of them had to go to the bathroom or otherwise leave the room after having prepared their meal, they would spit on their plate to discourage others from stealing from them!
Point is, spitting on the donuts isn't necessarily going to stop YOU from eating them!
I'm glad to see you have a sense of humor about this overwhelming urge that grabs hold of us sometimes.
