Anyone know..

How to get the squareish "dent" in the pelvic area of the abs, like Fergie and Carmen Electra have? I don't want a washboard tummy, I want THAT! lol

Do you have to have a super low % body fat? Or is it muscle? Anyone know?!!? Please help =]

I don't see a "dent", what I see is more of a masculine looking pouch, Pink has the same thing and I think it is unattractive. But if that's the look you are going for, you may be out of luck, that is acquired through body type.

Instead of having a pouch, my stomach sinks in a little between the hip bones, sexy for low cut jeans :)

I think it may be a combination of genes and low body fat.

Hire a great photographer who can do miracles with re-touching software.

It is obviously a combination of the stuff mentioned above and MUSCLE.
Those women are in extream form. I would ask a trainer. Do any of the trainers at the gym have it? Even the guys- they may know which exercises work those particular muscles..

You do have to have the body type for that to appear. I am 5'3 and 108 pounds, wear a size 1 and workout a lot (6x wk for at least 1.5 hours and that includes weight training) and I don't have that and honestly I don't think I ever would. What I do have is a nice defined semi 6 pack and well defined muscles in other areas.

well, the reason I'm asking is because my stomach seems to do this thing when it kind of goes in near the hipbones and then you see the muscle going out.

10.35, not everyone can get a super flat stomach that goes in, that's also genetic. also, I didn't really appreciate you calling something I like "masculine" and unattractive. Perhaps I think concave stomachs look a little unattractive myself. EVeryone has differing opinions, but if you have nothing nice to say...

Yeah, only nice opinions allowed. Can't you read the OP's mind the way she expects you to??

that's not what I meant. But, if someone comes and asks advice attaining something they think is attrative, telling them that it's ugly and what they have is MUCH better isn't helpful, nor is it nice. It's putting someone down and bragging about yourself.

Personally, I have a very muscular stomach (I swim butterfly on my school's swim team and run track and do ab work). Having a concave stomach isn't necessarily something attainable to my body type, since that stomach type requires very very lean muscle in small amounts. It's taut, little muscle combined with a healthy amount of fat not a 6 pack.

My stomach naturally goes in a little where the hip bones are, caves in slightly, and then "bumps" slightly where the muscle is, instead of continuing the concavity.

So, I was smply wondering if the stomachs of Fergie/Carmen Electra were naturally attainable. Not if other people found them attractive.

Assuming you are thin enough to see it, that is naturally attainable, if I am looking at the same thing you are, and it is sometimes called a "loin of Apollo." You want to work out the abdominal obliques instead of the rectus abdominis muscle in order to get that.

Besides obliques, I think working the lower abs helps. I kinda have that area showing and I work a lot on my lower abs as it's the largest ab muscle and the most dificult to define.

My husband has those muscles and my OH my he looks incredible in some relaxed jeans and no shirt!
