Me! I have maintained since joining (in May) which is far better than i would have done without PT. I just joined Weight Watchers and that in combination with PeerTrainer is finally getting the weight off!

45 pounds since last May. I definitely could not have done it without my great group members and accountability. It takes determination, comittment and a willingness to change.

31 pounds since September! I really don't think I would have stuck with it if it wasn't for PeerTrainer

Yes and no- I lost ~20 pounds previous to joining, but it was creeping back on and I wasn't maintaining so well. I have lost several pounds since joining and the key for me was writing down what I ate. The more I do it, the better my choices get. Not that I am an angel every day (far from it), but it keeps me from gaining and I've starting making headway on losing again. This is the only difference.
Like the site description says: I know how to lose weight, I really don't need this site to help me with that, but I DO need help with those last few pounds and keeping it off. The accountability helps. And I don't necessarily feel accountable to anyone - mainly myself, but I like being in a group. People eat interesting things and do interesting workouts and it helps me get more creative and gives me energy.

I don't know if it has a big influence on how much weight I'm losing, but I LOVE the folks I've met here!

I was already ":starting" to lose, but Peer trainer has kept me from quitting, which I typically do.

Peertrainer is the reason I went from not working out at all to working out 3 hours a day -- I mean, I just couldn't leave that box empty! Once I started doing a little activity to fill in the journal box, it got easier and easier to add more exercise. 18 lbs since Halloween :)

I only just discovered PT last week. My 3 sisters and I started a support group. We all joined Weight Watchers and are supporting each other (we live in 3 different states) through this website. It is awesome! Just in one week, total pounds lost is almost 15 combined!

Fifteen pounds since mid November. It has made a difference - the great support and the accountability. Thanks! I wonder how many people use it to lose or use it to not gain / maintenance.

For me it's ten pounds in two months, but I'm changing my eating habits, and I love the encouragement I get from group members. For me I don't believe in peer pressure, but peer support! We help inspire each other to keep going.

Well, I have not been losing as much as I would like to, but that is entirely my fault. I have never believed in keeping daily journals but after bumping into PT in general and joining my group 'Dedicated' specifically...I am a BELIEVER!!

It's helped me!
I joined 12/15/05 - with the holidays and company staying with me from out of town for a week - I didn't journal religiously until 1/5/06 at which time I haven't skipped journaling the tiniest morsel of food.
My heaviest was 182.8 on 12/30/05 - as of today - 1/17/06 I weighed in at 174.4. I've lost a total of 8.4 lbs. since 12/30/05!! I'm VERY pleased and intend on sticking with it until I'm in a size that I'm comfortable with and comfortable with toe dancing!

I joined in the last month. I'm defintely making better food choices, but my main issue is overall unhealthy habits. I am starting to make better choices as a result of good ideas from my group and knowing I have to write it down. Most importantly, I am facing my behavior up close every day.

Believer here.
've lost 12 pounds, and it's taken me months to do so but I hadn't lost anything in 6 years previously. 6 years. 6 long years. I can finally wear old jeans. I learn a great deal from people's logs and I started trying different things. I also eat different foods now, things I never would have tried.

I started 3 weeks ago and I've only lost 5 pounds but i'm still pleased...my clothes are feeling looser and my husband even said something today. He never notices anything.
