Tips for staying on track while on vacation?

I'll be going to Italy during the week of xmas. I'm a little worried about gaining weight during my vacation. I'm not sure what to expect as far as healthy options for food and whether I'll be able to get a little jogging or some other kind of exercise in.

Any tips from those who've been to Italy?

I usually lose weight when I go to Europe (I'm Greek), the food's so much healthier there. But then again, I don't go as a tourist, and I don't want to try the foods XD

1. Try to get into the European thing of eating your main meal at lunch. Most of Europe does this...the main "cooked" meal of the day is eaten around 1-3 PM, and then, if you want at night, you eat something small at night (i.e. a souvlaki..or in your case, maybe going out to get a gelato)

2. Eat what you want, but only as much as you want to be full, and try to fill up on some healthier options.

3. Make running a routine. It's like sightseeing! Every morning, get up a little earlier and take a luxurious jog. It's not exersise, it's part of the experience!
