Try putting some preparation H on them to shrink the eyebags

This won't get rid of them, but may help mask them -

If you wear concealer to try and hide them, instead of putting it all over, just put it where shadows fall. By lightening up those areas, you "hide" the shadow, and then the bag doesn't look as big.

I sympathize!! I am have the same problem. I hate it! I went on a quest last year to find some products that help. It's also genetic for me as my dad's side of the family all have the same problem. I found a skincare line called DHC that helped me..I use their Eye Bright..I actually put in on in the morning even before I shower if I'm going to the gym because my eyes are so puffy. Oh vanity! But it works. It looks like they have other products that may help but I haven't tried them because I like this so much. You can request free samples too! See item #104

Also, if you find your puffiness is worse first thing in the morning (mine is) try using an air purifier (a good one that can do your whole bedroom). My allergies flare up this time of year as I live in the northeast and our baseboard heating always makes me have a reaction which includes puffy eyes. The airpurifier cuts down on the problem somewhat.

2:14 here -

Maybe I was being unclear, I apologize. There's no mask I was referring to, I just meant, in order to make them look less apparent. From an art perspective, almost. If you lighten the area that normally has a shadow, the shadow will be less visible. Then from farther away (i.e. not scrutinizing yourself in the magnifying mirror, but rather, in front of a normal mirror from a few feet away), the bags will look less apparent. They won't actually be smaller, they'll just appear smaller.

If you're looking for a mask, you could try one of those cool gel masks that you put in the fridge or freezer; put it on your eyes in the morning and lay down for a few minutes with it on your eyes. It may make them a bit less puffy.

I have nothing against preparation H, or any other remedies. I just have never used any of them. I try to hide the bags; I've never actually tried to get rid of them. I was just throwing out an additional idea.

My hubby used the cream kind (original formula) and it worked for him. Of course, be careful that you do not apply too close to the eye as it may irritate your eyes...

Eye Bags - found something that works

Hi,
I used to get bags under my eyes all the time mostly due to my inability to fall asleep easily. I would stay up late thinking about something then wake up early next morning only to see little bags under my eyes. I somehow managed to kick the habit of staying up late but my eye bags wouldn't go away.I then recently read an article by a woman who supposedly got rid of her eye bags using a particular eye care product. I tried it and it worked really well. Within 3 weeks my eyebags were very much reduced ans soon disappeared .You can read more about the lady's article at the link below

I read this thread ...

and even though it's old, I feel like it has to be said that anyone considering that hemeroid trick should definitely check that out with their EYEdoctor before doing it!! I don't know much about hemeroid cream but I wouldn't put anything on or near my eyes that wasn't specifically for that area!

Unfortunately you can't get the original Prep H here in the US anymore BUT you can order it from amazon and get the original formula from Canada. Thats what I did when I was pregnant last time and realized the PH wasn't the same formula. I don't know why they banned it but the new crap doesn't do anything. But Prep H for your baggy eyes are excellent, in fact my aunt who is 71 has been using it on her face at night since she was about 30 and started noticing her skin not as tight. She looks amazing, so amazing she is actually dating a 36 yr old man, no shit. She looks about 50.

hi

I use this every day and evening. I seriously can tell the difference, that my eyes look less exhausted, that the skin looks healthier. And really, it makes sense. All skin needs moisture to keep healthy. That skin beneath and around your eyes is very skinny, therefore, if any skin for your body may show dehydration first, it would be the eyes. Many people start looking at the eye area at all times once they speak with you, so that they realize that pretty quickly.
