bottom heavy

My problem is that all the fat goes straight to the butt and thighs, and when I lose weight, those are the areas that are least affected, if at all. my face is getting thinner, as well as my arms and tummy, but the jiggly thighs have not changed. furthermore, I have huge muscular calves. is there any solution?

Try swimming and palaties (sp?) because you tend to get muscular thigh try NOT overdoing lower half weight training and try for activities that will produce lean muscles.

I'm the same way. I've been getting compliments "like your arms look great". That doesn't help me fit into my jeans. I do squats and lunges and no arm exercises except for push ups and yet my rump stays the same and my upper body melts away - including my ladies (from C to B).

I recently attended a science research seminar (I'm a young scientist) and the lady that talked was discussing estrogen and weight gain...she said that women tend to store fat first in the hips and thighs before menopause...and that the body will save these stores until it absolutely has nothing else to use. So...keep dieting and working out...in theory, it'll go away once the body has used fat from the other areas. I have noticed that in my own body...I lose face, then chest, then lower legs, then hips and thighs. Hang in there!
