EMAIL THREAD
Too many OT Threads
I know, I know... I am being two faced by actually posting an OT topic but I just wanted to gripe about: 1. There are too many OT topics on here. 2. Why so many medical questions? When in doubt, go see your doctor. 3. Negative comments on the thread.. I mean if you don't like the thread then dont post.

Perhap because we are heading into the busy time of year, most people are too busy to post and/or read this board? I'll bet things will pick up again after the New Year. Hang in there : )

isn't that exactly what you're doing? Griping about too many OT topic by griping and writing one yourself?
If you don't like the medical questions, then don't post or read them.
hypocritical people really put a burdon on everyone.

It's nice to discuss with other people various topics. I think, I know for me, like to see if others have had similar symptoms so it takes the stress away, especially since it can take a month to get an appt with a doctor.

OP here. Yes, I know I am being hypocritical by posting another OT thread. In fact if you read the post thoroughly you would have seen that I mentioned that. Yes I also know that I do not need to read them, I was just posting to gripe just as most people seem to do nowadays. I guess the end result is I was hoping to see more people post about tips, success in their weight loss efforts, weight loss related topics.

you're griping about other people griping.....do you realize how narrow minded that is?

And your point?
Thursday, November 15, 2007, 5:28 PM
you're doing what you're bitching about other people doing! basically your griping about yourself.

I agree with the OP. Too many OT posts... how about people focus on the original intent of this site which is to lose weight. This is not a Dr. Phil site for advice nor is it webMD for medical advice.

if doctors had all the answers, or were not so defensive there would be no need to ask others. As it is, I have found it very helpful hearing other experiences with hard to diagnose and treat issues.

There are some issues that come up that I don't care to look at, so I don't but for the most part I think it is helpful to discuss problems and how others have overcome them.
I feel safe asking a question here. And for the last couple of months people haven't been too critical..
I am just really grateful for this site.
