You pay your money.
You get on the scale and they record your weight.
At the beginning of the lecture part, people who've met milestones (10%, 50 lbs, goal) are acknowledged individually.
Then you get the informative lecture, scripted by WW HQ.
Questions are welcome, both during the meeting and after.
You go home and feel tempted to cheat because you're not answerable for another week.

What's so horrible?
If you don't like "scripted", well, it's not like they stand in front of you and read from the Diet Bible or anything like that. It's usually good stuff.

Different WW leaders vary a lot in quality. Some are more scripted than others; some are more peppy than others; some are more knowledgeable than others. But the info you get is pretty much always good, and always motivating. And you can get a lot of support if you are having a hard time, and a lot of encouragement if you are doing well. You can pick up good ideas from the other members, too.

It's exactly like 10:30 said. That is the general outline, but the meetings I go to are very peppy and motivating. It's nice to be held accountable each week and to see everyone else in the different steps they are in during the weight loss process. It's really motivating to see people hit their lifetime goal. It makes you think "if they can do it than I can do it".
