What food can you NOT have in the house?
Mine is flour tortillas. I will speed demon through them. I finally just realized I couldn't buy it. Now, I am seeing this trend with other foods. CHEESE, for instance. I just realized tonight I am better off without it...
What can you not keep in reach?
Mon. Nov 12, 8:51pm
CHOCOLATE COOKIES, CHOCOLATE CAKE, CHOCOLATE CANDY BARS, CHOCOLATE CHIPS, CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM, CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM BARS, CHOCOLATE CHIPS, LOL....Well I think you get the picture! :)

soda! If I must have one - I have to drive to the gas station and pay the buck-whatever for 1 and 1 is all I can buy, and I must pay cash - no slipping it on the card (this helps for some reason). I'm a terrible soda fiend, but it's ruinous! I can ignore chips, ice cream, chocolate, etc, but not soda.

Dorito's and Cheez-its (especially flavors other than regular cheese). They kill me. I can plow through a box easily in one night and then still crave more over the next several days. I think because I recognize it as one of the foods that have a hold on me that I end up forbidding the stuff from the house and then when it does get brought in (via boyfriend) I go nuts over it like I'll never have it again. Perhaps if I could see them as foods to limit to small occasional servings I could have a portion once in a while and not go crazy over it. But I don't know how to do that!!!

tortilla chips!!!!
but my mom actually fixed that. she put the lime flavored ones in a "normal" bag. i've never gagged harder XD lol now i actually thnk twice before eating some, which actually helps portion control! lol

10:18 - I'm going on 3 years trying to figure out how to live with Cheezits in the house! My husband always liked Cheese Nips and I was never a fan, but then he went and changed to Cheez Its - yikes! Especially if it's a light and flaky batch - oh man, I go nuts and will go back again and again for that one little harmless handful. It's like a little taste explosion - yummmmmm.

8:58 I am feeling you. I am trying to figure out how I'm going to make it thru the holidays.

Pizza. Oh man I love pizza. The real gooey cheesy stuff with every topping you can think of.
But I don't have it in the house so I make tortilla pizzas. It is a good second.
Then there's nuts. I love nuts. Almost any kind.
I don't keep unhealthy foods in the house so I don't have to worry about it. But occasionally a friend will bring a box of groceries over and put all kinds of goodies in there and I don't have trouble with any of it but the nuts.

PIrate's Booty or anything that resembles cheesy popcorn.
Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 1:19 AM
regular fritos
man - I LOVE these.... and they are SO bad for you. if you put one on a piece of paper it soaks up the grease and you can see how fatty they really are. my son has a bag in the kitchen - I won't open it because its his but I just hope he doesn't open it around me!

Apparently cookies. I never knew I was a fiend until I was baking cookies last night for a friend. It started with just a little piece of the dough, and then turned into a four or five cookie count splurge. And now talking about it is really making me want another one... damn it.
Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 9:25 AM
9:25 - at least you can wait until they're cookies! I'll eat 5 cookies worth of the dough. Apparently, I can't even have the makings of cookies in the house ;)
Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 11:49 AM
Anything sweet or salty thing that is bad for me... sadly if it looks unhealthy it will be in my mouth and down my throat before I know I am doing.
Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 11:56 AM
Chocolate
I'm with 8:58... chocolate is my downfall. It's awful..it's difficult to stop at just ONE. I can't have it in the house or I'll eat it.. .whatever chocolate covered goodie it is.
Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 12:56 PM
11:49 - I totally agree! I was having company over this past weekend, so I bought a package of cookies to have around for snacks. If I had made them myself, I would have eaten a ton of it myself - if I buy them, I have better portion control!
Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 5:05 PM
For me, it's salt and vinegar potato chips. I love them. I will eat an entire bag in one sitting.. and it will make me want to throw up... but I love them.
Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 6:17 PM
The absolute one food I can't have in the house is Cheezits. I will eat the whole box. In fact, I want some now!
Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 9:01 PM
cheez-its must have cocaine in them. everyone finds them addictive!
Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 9:03 PM
I'm surprised at how many people wrote Cheez-its - I thought it was just me! Lol and I agree with 6:17 above, salt and vinegar chips are my #2 problem if they are in the house.
Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 9:03 PM
chips in general are my downfall. i do love the new baked cheetos. they are great.
Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 9:07 PM
cheddar, cookies, candy, most ice cream... gawd, this was fun.
Wednesday, November 14, 2007, 3:38 PM
Pie crust. I like to spread butter, cinnamon and lots of sugar on it and bake it for about 6 minutes, so its still doughy. So good...so sinful. Also chocolate and ice cream.
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 10:46 AM
anything I can bake with, any sweets, any cheese, any chips/crackers
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 12:20 PM
Peanut butter!
Can't stand cheez-its! But give me a jar of Jif xtra crunchy and a spoon, and I'm a happy girl.
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 12:47 PM
Anything crispy. It's gone in an hour.
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 1:49 PM
For me it is Ritz crackers. I can plow through a sleeve in no time...
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 2:53 PM
Thinking of sleaves reminded me I can't have girlscout mint cookies in the house - I can eat through a sleave of that
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 3:18 PM
chocolates and chips!
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 4:27 PM
Cheez its are a great one. They are a grab and go while cooking dinner and so bad but really, its the Krispy kreme donuts for those of you who live in an area where they sell them! UGH, huge downfall,,, can't have those around!
Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 7:04 PM
Cheese- any kind.
Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 4:09 AM
So many things. Oreos. Chocolate.
Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 7:18 AM
Bagels! My fiance works at a coffee shop and brings me home all the bagels and pastries left over at the end of the night. The pastries I can stay away from, but those damn bagels. I once had bagels for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I kid you not. It's really pathetic.
Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 11:38 AM
Mild Cheddar Cheese
Anything chocolate - especially those Lindt Lindor chocolates
Diet Pepsi - When I rarely purchase it in 2L bottles
All-dressed chips
Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 11:48 AM
Out of Control Foods
I find it interesting that I NEVER eat out of control when I am eating fruits, veggies, most proteins, but with man- made carbohydrates, white rice, potatoes, sweets, and cheese, I can eat until there is no more , and not notice satiation instead skipping right over into "I feel SO BLOATED"
Chalant
Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 7:20 PM
anything junky, candy, chips, soda, i'm so weak! :P
