What's working for me!

I'm a gym rat. I confess! I used to be 5'4" and 110 lbs. After I had my baby I ballooned! I've lost most of the weight but have about 25 to go to be pre baby weight, which I know isn't going to happen, nor should it...I'm a mom now and a little extra "cushioning" is a-okay!

I've been working out everyday, HARD, and not letting my body rest. I feel like if I skip the gym, I'm losing out on a day of weight loss! So I forced myself to rest 1 day between strenous workouts and what a difference! I can really see more definition and it's as though I'm shrinking! Can't explain the phenomenon, but I'm loving it! I especially love being able to skip a workout, see results, and have extra time to do other things!

As my parents always say, "Work smart, not hard."

What's working for me is:
-eating the right foods, not the "right" amount of calories.
-exercising every day, even if it's not at the gym (although I try to go 2x per week)
-knowing that slow and steady really does win the race.
-this is for life, not just for now.

I definitely agree with eating the right foods (more nutrients!), although it also helps to eat the right amount of calories! I have found it helps to vary my amount of calories per day (from 1200 up to 1700) - I think it keeps your metabolism on its toes. Plus it allows you to have 'indulging' days without feeling guilty.

OP - it is possible to get back to your pre-baby weight, just not your pre-baby body!
