Any ideas on the best sports bra for high intensity workouts?

I'm having a problem finding a good sports bra that will hold my "DD's" in place when jump roping, running, etc....without the bouncy pain that comes with too much movement.Anybody have advice on what's best out there?

I have been wearing a really good (rather snug) minimizer bra with a compression (sports type) bra over the first. It doesn't give me the uniboob (thank the Lord) and my bounce is lessened (I am a former DD now just a D). It is a little hotter since you have on two layers. I found just wearing the regular sports bra was just not enough, even the kind that have built in supports (like wires).

I haven't tried it myself, but I will be buying one soon, but Oprah recommended a brand called Enell. They have a website and are located in some specialty stores.

They really look like they can hold up my DD and they come in bright colors. They cost $60.00, but it would be worth it not have your girls flying all over the place.

I did a search and the threads I found haven't had a new post since July. I am 5/3, 145 lbs, and a DD, so am looking for new opinions. Thank you for advising that the search be used.

I feel for you and those DDs! I went running after I had my baby and my usual Bs were probably closer to Ds - holy moly - I don't know anyone does anything like that with those things! I hope you find yourself a good bra. You might want to research Oprah's site - she has a sports bra that she LOVES - it might be found under her favorite things. It's been a while since she mentioned it, but she said her girls don't go anywhere when she put that bra on.

counting how many times something is mentioned in a post

If it is mentionend more than once, it is likely to be more than one person's opinion that it is worth looking into....thank you for those that do not suppress what they think just because it is already there.

Thanks for the website address. I just looked at the site and found that they sell them at a store about 10 minutes from my house. I'm going shopping to try some sports bras. This looks like it could be the answer I was looking for.

I just bought a bra from Champion, called the max workout (?), it's a racerback and underwire...it's a little uncomfortable, but my boobs stay in place!

When all else fails, wear two...that's what I do sometimes...I'll wear an underwire sports bra and then a sports bra top for compression, that seems to work.

I found Nike made a kickass bra, but I couldn't find it last time I went shopping. I ended up getting an UnderArmour bra instead. It buckles up like a normal bra in back instead of just slipping over the head, and it's quite comfy. The Nike one had better support, though.

Enell Sports Bra for DDs- Has anybody actually bought this one?

I know it was mentioned in several posts above that Oprah loves this sports bra but has anybody actually bought and worn one? I am going shopping tomorrow for sports bras and will check out the Enell brand whle I am out. I will post my findings in the next couple of days. I posted the original question here and greatly appreciate all the input that has been given so far. Check back in a couple of days if you are interested in my findings.

UK girls!

For UK girls I recommend Berlei Shock Absorber level 4 up to a G cup and Royce sports bras for larger. The Royce ones are great. You have to work hard to make even the biggest of boobs move.

Check out Title Nine (www.titlenine.com). They show you the support with bar bell pictures. The more bar bells the more support. Plus it gives you descriptions on which sizes are best for each bra and which exercises are best for each bra. Love the bras and I've bought a few myself for my big D's. I haven't tried Enell however Title Nine is the first bra I've found that has truely made it feel as if I was getting some true support. Good luck with your search.

Testing Enell tonight!

Okay, so I went and bought the Enell sports bra and will be wearing it tonight during our softball playoffs. So, at least two games and alot of running! I will let you all know how I feel about this one tomorrow. I can say that just trying it on and kinda jogging in place in the fitting room; it is the most comfortable I have tried yet!

Enell - My results

Okay so it is comfortable at first fit and running in place in the fitting room but I found that the hook and eye closure in the front bothered me at the bottom part after wearing it for a while. In all other aspects it was great. My girls had minimal movement at a full run. I will check out Title 9 as well and let you know what I find. By the way, I bought the Enell at Fleet Feet Sports $54.00 + tax.
