heart burn

I've been getting bad heart burn the last week or so. I haven't changed my diet at all so I don't know what is causing this. The only time I have gotten heartburn before was when I was pregnant (not the case right now). Any ideas what could be causing this? Oh, and I don't have a problem with it at night, only during the day.

are you getting near the age of 50? it's amazing how fast you start going to pot. I think it would be prudent to get a check up b/c heart burn could be a sign of heart problems, but more likely too much acid. I have found the joy of Prilosec OTC. You can also cut out coffee, citric acid containing food, tomatoes, chocolate, spicy food, cinnamon. In fact, they recommend so many things, I can't quite figure out what they think is ok to eat... hence the pill thing. I'm telling you, *immediate* relief.
