Starbucks Addiction
I am addicted to Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha. Each day I try to stay away from it but I keep going back. I have no willpower at all. Does anyone have a suggestion to break this costly (both financially and health-wise) addiction?

i dont, but when you figure it out please let me know
my wife has the same drink there, and she acts
as though she cant function without one everyday
i ask anything wrong with a regular cup of coffee? :)

I don't even drink regular coffee, its just an addiction to this one type. I am guessing its because of the sugar in it.

How about the fact that one of these drinks - medium sized, made with skim milk, and no whip cream is 450 calories!!! UGH.

My mother loves that drink too, but she puts boundaries around it. She treats it as a special dessert that she only has when she's with someone else - usually my brother, who visits about once a month. Not sure how frequently you indulge, but why don't you start by categorizing it as a reward for something not weight loss related (because that would be a bad mind game), like not hitting the snooze button for 10 straight work days, something like that.
That concept of "building a fence" is actually an eating management tool that allows you to keep hard-to-control foods in you diet. Like maybe you have a thing for cheesecake, so you only let yourself have it when you're at a restaurant and someone is willing to share it. 'Cuz we all know where total denial leads. Sigh.

How's this:
Your drink is 370 calories. If you are drinking one every day, and are maintaining your weight, then by simply eliminating it from your diet, and doing nothing else, you will lose 38.6 lbs in one year!
You are essentially drinking almost 40 lbs of fat in a year by drinking that drink!! That's like a 5-year-old child!!! (okay, admittedly, I have no idea how much a 5-year-old weighs, but that sounds about right...?)
