The best thing for day-after-workout pain?

Hey guys, though you might help me with this. I took a total body work out class yesterday and my whole body aches, like every muscle. I've heard eat protein, eat sour cream, ect... Anyone know how to best ease it?

i've heard grape juice too...

but the best thing i've found is to KEEP MOVING. i know it hurts, but the more you move it keeps your muscles loosened up and you'll be much better off for your next workout. go for a walk, do some elliptical.... it hurts but it will pass much faster.

Yeah, keep moving, stretch lightly, drink lots of water and I would personally take a couple of advil to help ease the pain. Some people don't like to pop pills but like I said, that's what I would do.

I like standing in a hot shower with good water pressure, and just letting the hot water pour over you. And then some light stretching in the bathroom when it's still steamy and warm - like, bending over to touch your toes, or stretching your arms. If you have a bigger bathroom than me, maybe you could do a bit more, but don't do anything too strenuous, because as you're not actually warmed up and loose, you could pull something, and that'd hurt worse!

Try those sports rubs; I like the products Tiger Balm and Bio Freeze; when massaged into your muscles it becomes a little warm & tingly. Also the homeopathic called Arnica can really help.
Nice hot bath or if you have access to a hot tub, that can really help. A massage can help flush out some of the lactic acid as well.
Hope this helps!

try taking some bromelain (available in health food stores). It's a pineapple enzyme that can help. Avoid taking anti-inflammatory pain killers, as they can deter muscle growth, which even if minimal, the effects aren't wanted when trying to get in sha
