The part in Forrest Gump when Forrest is at Jenny's tree and he's talking about their son and he says "and he's so smart, Jenny!" It makes me cry with a lot of noise and snot every time. lol.

"Sommersby", starring Jodie Foster and Richard Gere. I mistakenly watched it with my new husband on Valentine's Day and couldn't stop crying afterwards.

Walk to Remember for sure. Such a great movie. Stepmom too... the part where Susan Surandon tells Julia Robert's character she (the mom) had their past and she (stepmom) has their future. Makes me sob!

Braveheart is another one for me, the end when he's watching his wife walk through the crowd and you know he's going to be with her soon... KILLS ME!

Iris ...

about Iris Murdoch and her husband. she suffered from and died of Alzheimer's.

but yes, the shirt scene in Brokeback was about the saddest scene ever.

House of Sand and Fog also a good choice if you want to get depressed.

Was Happiness a sad movie? Bleak and depressing, definitely. But I don't remember any sad parts.

The graveside scene in Forrest Gump always makes me tear up too..

i guess watching a bleak and depressing movie makes me sad. a movie about child molesters and perverted introverts living seemingly regular lives in society is sad to me. thanks for the editorial.

What about Old Yeller? There is a little New Zealand film called Once We're Warriors, it is an amazingly sad film, whoever loves to cry at a good movie should find this one to rent.
