Wow, I thought those overpriced baby shoe charms were excessive. But this is a whole different league.

I don't think its that insane! People get tattoos of pretty meaningless things all the time. If you are going to have a tattoo, one that honors your kids is a lot better than some pointless design! I already have one tattoo and when I have kids I might get a tattoo for them, though it probably won't have their names...just something symbolic to show myself and the world my devotion to them.

I have always planned to get a tattoo to symbolize my children's births. It's not quite as much fun if everyone else is beating me to the punch :)

My mother & I were talking about getting one together. I think it's pretty neat (she's in her mid-50s!)

Sure beats the stretch marks I'm sporting right now! I'm not into permanent markings, but to each their own.

I don't think this is insane at all. I have three tattoos,2 that pertain to my two beautiful girls. I have a tattoo on top of both of my feet. They are the flowers of the month in which my girls where born. I love them and I have always had compliments on them;especially when people find out what the stand for.

No, thanks, I already have a 5 inch "tatoo" in my bikini area...that's all the tatoo I need to show my devotion. (I did it 3 times and every one was worth it

I think I like that idea. To each their own definitely so I wouldn't get some of the ones I saw but I'm sure they all had their own reasoning and special meaning. Love the cute ones but for me it would have to be in a descrete area. I have a tatoo now on my lower back (whew how original right?) :-D It's bigger than I planned but I can't do anything about it now but it was a personal dedication to my mom whom passed away but LOVED LOVED butterflies. I think if I lose all this weight I want to I might consider doing some small ones for my 2 kids.

I think it's a great idea! I've always wanted a tattoo, but haven't found something meaningful enough to me to put it permanently on my skin. Perhaps a Mommy tattoo (someday - no kids yet) will be exactly what I wanted!

My sister's first son died at 3 months old (he had a heart tumor that went undiagnosed) and she got a tattoo on her shoulder in his memory. I think it's a sweet thing to do, but like anything, it's not for everyone!

I think they are neat. I just got my first tattoo, and plan on getting the second one in memory of my son that was stillborn (My first one honors my mother and father that have passed away). The third one will be for my living son...(maybe his name, or something that reminds me of him.

I guess I have an ink addiction now.
