Bring water bottles and a towel. If you've got a pair of bike shorts, bring them. If you've got a pair of bike gloves, bring them. If you don't really ride much, be prepared to hurt tomorrow.

It's great exercise- good luck and have fun!

Bike shorts (the padded kind). You might want to play around with the settings on the bike- raise or lower the handlebars, move the saddle back or forward... If you haven't already, get to class early and ask the instructor to help you set up the bike to better fit you and your fitness level.

If you've done all that already, don't worry, eventually it stops hurting as you get better and your legs get stronger and you spend less time putting all your weight on the saddle.

I had my first spinning class tonight and it was SO FUN!! Fortunately I've been cycling since the spring so I didn't experience any soreness. However, did I ever sweat buckets! I haven't exercised THAT hard in a long time. I'm hooked! I want to take 2-3 spinning classes a week and watch my saddlebags melt off! teehee

Thanks for the good advice. The towel and water were essential!
