Has any done Carmen Electra's Striptease Dvd's?
I was wondering if these were fun and could spice up your personal life. Anyone tried them?
Thu. Jul 26, 1:07pm
i have done the first three... i really enjoyed the first one the best! the second one is a 'real' workout dvd, it leaves you feeling powerful, but not 'sexy'... the first one has two different routines, you definitely sweat, and you feel incredibly talentend when you're done... or at least i did. i would recommend it! :) as far as personal life, i currently don't really have a love life to spice up, but i feel as though it would have definitely spilled over if i had started them when i did! :) besides, what's more sexy than a talented, strong, and confident woman??!

in my Netflix queue
How hard is it for an extremely obese person? I keep on shoving it back down the queue until I reach at least 250 lbs. (I'm 297 now). Please be honest, I won't take offense. I'll just wait until I can try it. It's cheaper than a pilates machine!

I have done them, it's not hard for anyone to do it I don't think. Give it a shot!

I didn't try it until I was under 200, but that's just how it worked out. I would say that you could do most of the first one with very little problem. There are a couple sequences where you go from floor to standing that might be challenging (getting up and down was hard for me when I was 225, so I'm going on that assumption) but you could always "pause" the DVD, finish your transition and press "start" again when you're in the next position. I don't know that I would try any past Disc 1 at your level of fitness (I had a hard time with Disc 2, good hard, but heavy breathing-couldn't do it all hard). I would still recommend Disc 1, and again, I'm going off of what I was able to do at those weights, but I'm a different person so I'd give it a shot! (What's the worst that can happen? You decide "hey this looks fun but I don't think I'm ready yet" send it back, try another, and do the stripping when you feel up to it again?) :) good luck! be brave!
(i'm the 4:45 poster btw)

re: in my Netflix queue
Thank you very much for your very constructive criticism. I really, really appreciate it. Heck, I need help getting up off the floor! Squats? I probably can bend my knees about 20 degrees at most (no way 45 degrees or more!). Looks like I'll shove it back down the queue when it comes near the top ten to be delivered.
Again, thank you :)

Maybe you should stop watching dvds and go work out. Sounds like you have big problems.

4:10 wow, what a great help you are. Nice job. With an attitude like that, apparently YOU are the one with the problem. Someone asks a serious question and you respond with ignorance. Go away. Far away.

my bestfriend and I have had a good time working out with these dvd's. Easy to take her moves into the bedroom too...my hubby was impressed!

4:10 - don't make assumptions so quickly! I am very active during the day, I walk or run almost every day and watch almost no tv during the day. But we only have 4 channels and my husband works late almost every evening, so I often watch a movie in the evening. Just because a person watches movies doesn't mean that that's all they do!

Thank you thank you thank you! The negative response I got immediately enraged me. Then I read your response to it and I am in tears... of gratitude!

Some people feel more comfortable waorking out in thier own home so it's really mean just to presume someone is lazy. Some people are shy or want to try something different - Carmen Electra's Dvd is not necessarily something you want to do in front of others. Don't be too quick to judge - especially when someone comes here for geuine advice.

Thanks in response to the jerkus maximus
You're all so suportive and that's what I love about PT. I have equipment here at home (bodybars, stability ball, elastic stretchy things, etc.) and I REALLY REALLY try. It really hurts so bad to see people watch me while I waddle into the gym to make my effort for the day, only to be torn down by someone who doesn't know what I'm about. Thank you all for your positive feedback!
My belly sticks out, I huff and puff... but I keep on truckin'! And yes, I have moved the Carmen Electra DVD way dowin my Netflix queue.
I love PT. Thank goodness there aren't too many insensitive idjits.
Peeeeeece.
