Finally I can wear 100% of whats in my closet instead of about 20% that I used to fit into! I put on a pair of pants I was about to throw away. I got them a couple years ago and I thought they would never fit me, so I tried them on, not sure why, maybe just for one last time. And they fit with room!!!

Cool, huh?

I was wearing a comfy size 20 pants and a hold-your-breath pair of 18s in the same style at the first of the summer.

The 20s got so baggy that I had to stop wearing them and the 18s fit great. One day, I noticed that my pants were way to baggy and thought I'd accidentally put on the 20s. NO --- it was the 18s!!! I bought a pair of 16s that I'm wearing now, and even they are a tad loose at the waist.

I'm not exactly in 14 territory yet, but I think I'll see it when I make it around the next bend.

I've been putting things on eBay that are too big for me now. I'll use the money to buy smaller stuff.

I know I won't get much wear out of some of these in-between sizes as I lose, but I'll just put those up on eBay when they become loose and get them out of the house.

Although I am having trouble losing this 20 pounds, I have been consistent with my weight training over the past year and I have toned arms (I'm getting that cut in my shoulders yippeee lol) and muscular upper back. It feels so great! I've been taking aerobic classes at school since January, which includes a lot of ab work, so I'm curious what's underneath my gut. My sister punched my upper abs recently and she told me I have tight abs (whereas usually she'll tell me I'm chubs).

11:09-- I do basic arm moves-- bicep curls, shoulder presses, and tricep extensions. I used to do pushups on the ball but got lazy lol. Those basic moves have really gotten my arms in great shape (it's just a matter of losing the fat so I can show them off in sleeveless tops!!) I want arms like Jessica Biel and I can finally say that I'm getting there. I started doing strength training a few years ago, but never stuck to it since I wasn't seeing instant results. Last summer, I finally stuck to it and saw results a few months later. I was lifting 5 pounds and now I'm doing 10 pounds. Good luck! Stick to a program and you can do it!

I went to my doctor's office yesterday. I am a type 1 diabetic and I go see my doctor about every 4 months. Well, yesterday at the appointment she told me that I had lost 5 pounds since my last visit! Also, my A1C, which is a blood test that measures a person's blood sugar control over the four months, reduced from 8.9 to 6.8! I was so happy.

Friday, August 3, 2007, 11:37 AM

I just have to congratulate everyone. Way cool.

And for the last poster who's a1c is down to 6.8 Way to go!
I have been dieting for 3 1/2 months now but have lost 80 pounds since Jan.
I was told I would have to go on insulin if this last pill didn't work.
Well my last a1c was 6.2 and I was pleased but sad it wasn't in the 5's
Still No insulin and even decreased by 1 pill. Looking for the next one to be taken away.

I think this is so exciting when you start to get your health back. I have taken so for granted the days I woke up with no pain or could just go to the store and not take 2 hours to get ready because I can hardly move from the pain. Well better days are coming.
Now I am looking forward to the day I can excersize and gain my strength again.
Keep up the good work everyone

apples and pb are great!!!

oh here is a recipe for you I love..

Oatmeal Muffin Recipe: ( i had 1 cup of blueberries to it)

Ingredients:
2 1/4 Cups Dry Oatmeal
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup skim milk
1/3 cup Splenda
2 large egg whites
1/2 cup Applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
cinnamon to taste

Optional additions:
blue berries (frozen or fresh)
Banana (mashed or cut into small pieces, you can use less applesauce if you add banana)
Any small diced fruit of your choosing!

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Spray muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray or add cupcake liners

3. In a big bowl, mix oatmeal, baking powder, salt and cinnamon

4. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix until incorporated (t resembles slightly runny oatmeal)

5. Fill each muffin 3/4 full, bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.

I use stevia and more vanilla even My huband likes these.. eay to make and healthy.

Thanks for the Muffin recipe!

I just bought way too many blueberries and was looking for a way to use them - this recipe is perfect! I could probably figure it out, but any idea on the calorie count on those bad boys?

Congrats on a 100 pound LOSS!! Wow - that's fantastic!

And passing up a cupcake to have an apple?? Yeah! It's those little, daily decisions that get us to our goals and we should give ourselves credit each time we make a decision that gets us closer to our goal weight :)

Congratulations to the lovely people above -- this is such a positive, encouraging thing!

I have been trying to lose weight in a few different ways - I went vegan for 8 days (nothing) I got rid of wheat and sugar (1 pound, that quickly came back), but I think I finally found something that works for me - smaller portion sizes, and raw fruit and veggies between meals. Since I started doing this and logging it at the beginning of this week, I have gone from 157 to 154! I am very encouraged by this, and will definitely keep going with it.

I posted this to one of my teams and I wanted to share it here..

its a little long I was on my soapbox.. because I care!!

I hope this helps some of you.

fair warnning.. I suck at grammar.. so grammer police be kind lol

we should all be proud of ourselves. each inch. each fraction of a pound gets us to where we want to be, but we are not just a number. I started getting upset when the numbers didnt match what I expected it to be. than I stopped and thought. look how far I have come.. why be upset over a number. that number doesnt define me or my happiness. I will meet my goal, but I am going to enjoy the journey instead of dreading the scale because of having a fixed number that I think I should be..

you are each a very special individual.. enjoy yourself.. love yourself as you are.. you are making changes to be healthier and stronger and to live happier and longer lives full of joy and happiness, but those chnages take time.. be patient with yourself and celebrate each phase.. do somethings pecial for yourself once in awhile.. wer something sexy. you ARE sexy.. your just working on become even more sexy smokin hot!!

granted there will be ups and downs along the way.. I have met many obstacles in my journey, but I am still going. I wont let them hold me down. I am doing this for me... remember when you started out and look at how far you have come and Im not just talking about how much you have lost . Im not talking about being a number on a scale that you think you should be.

Im talking about a lifestyle change.. stopping binging, stopping emotional eating, choosing healthier foods..late night eating, whatever unhealthy habit it was you have overcome or have started to overcome.. take pride in that..
fpr example you have a slice of pizza and a salad now instead of four pieces of pizza.. a pieece of cake doesnt turn into two or three pieces..eating fruit for a sweet or having veggies instead of crisps.. these are all wonderful accomplishments.

sure we all have slip ups.. were not perfect.. were human, but we can pick ourselves back up and start again.. be kind to yourself.. push yourself to achieve your dream, but dont get wrapped up in the dream of being the perfect number that you lose who you are . who you are I will say to each of you.. you are a special unique individual.. so remember that when you get disappointed with your progress .. there is so much more to this than just defining who you are as a number on a scale.. Im just as guilty.. I want to be 145, but I will get there.. I know that, but there will be speedbumps along the way.. I have each of you to help overcome those speedbumps.

I thank god everyday for the blessings I have in my life. I have an incredible , amazing husband, family and I have close friends and pt family members to support me as well..

so when you start getting down on yourself.. look at where you started and where your at now.. reflect on the important things in your life and treasure them.

ok I will just end this sopabox with a big hugzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and Im proud of each of you.

About six months ago, I was feeling depressed and definitely unsexy. I signed up for a pole dancing class, thinking it would spice up my marriage and I would learn something a little sassy. Today I did a series of acrobatic tricks that landed me in an advanced class! Acrobatic pole dancing has left me bruised, blistered and sore, but the core and upper body strength that I've built has been amazing. Not quite what I bargained for, but I've never felt so agile and strong.

Im glad I could help.. people that dont understand can be so cruel, bt your doing this for you and thats what matters.. we all are.. keep being the amazing people you are.

looks are only skin deep.. a number on a scale does not define us.. remember that.. dont get so wrapped up in being what everyone expects of you... this is your journey and your goals. go at your own pace.. be patient with yourselves.. all things that are worthwhile take time. you are worth that time.. each and every one of you..

I was out this weekend and someone on the street asked me where my sister was since he hadn't seen her around in a while. I had to convince him i never had any sister. He kept saying we looked exactly alike and what not. I had to tell him it was me minus a few pounds. Ok....maybe 40 lbs...

On a fluke news report just after the New Year, I heard about the website in the link below and OMG, it not only has helped me tremendously in meal planning and gauging exactly what I eat by every morsel and tracking every move I make, but I dropped a few pounds!

It is a wonderful tool for me. I've created several "meals" to add to my plate for the day, calculating every calorie, bit of sodium, fat, carbo, protein, etc. What a valuable resource.

I chose to eat healthier and make fitness my lifestyle and I have never felt better. The depression is gone and life has never looked better. Amazing what a new attitude can do for ones self. Thanks Lynneta! I also discovered that I actually have a waist!!! I actually have an hour glass figure now...well it is still a FULL figure but it is there!!! I have always hated full length mirrors but now I want one! It is just amazing to me how much better I feel all the way around now...physically, mentally, and emotionally! We stayed at a hotel last night that has an indoor pool and I went walking through the hotel in a bathing suit and didn't cover up like I have always done!!! These "WOW" moments only give me more motivation to keep going so I "SEE" what comes in the next WOW moment!

A thread like this is great, especially when all the other threads lately seem to be people hating on each other and arguing about being mean and being nasty and being unsupportive.

My accomplishment: I've left the 140s, NEVER to see them again on the scale!
And inspired by people in other threads, I'm going to start signing my name too or some version of it.

Maybe I will buy a pair of jeans that actually fit me when I get there! I can't wait to see what size I will be in. Maybe I can finally fit into an 18? Haven't seen that since before high school!

I think what I'm most proud of is keeping off the 105 pounds I've lost. It is a great challenge to lose the weight....but I have to say once you're over that hurdle....KEEPING IT OFF....can really be hard. I've lost 50 and 60 pounds in the past and gained it back. For some reason I thought once I lost it....it would magically stay off. Little did I know that this is a "LIFE" change. NOW I KNOW!!!
Congrats everyone on your successes. Give yourself a well deserved pat on the back!!!!

I got to buy pants today that were one size smaller than I usually buy. It was great and annoying to have to pull up my pants up every 5 min since I forgot my belt on a visit to my parents. I haven't been in this size pants since I was a freshman in high school which was 10 years ago! Motivation to keep going and lose another size or two!

I am on this program since a month.
Though I haven't lost any weight I have toned up my abs and waist a bit(I lost a lot of weight years ago and have chicken wings and sagging skin at abs).
That's cause the support of my team members have kept me regularly at the gym.
I don't hate gym anymore and actually look forward to working out :).

I'd start by telling her who you are (your SN - screen name) so she can invite you in! I'm on a couple of teams with her. Both of those teams are very supportive, fun groups. If we hadn't met on PT, I doubt we'd even have spoken to each other we're all so different, but we have a shared goal and cheer each other on, laugh together and educate one another best we can. Which is, after all, what PT is all about.

You will stumble and you may even fall along the way as you travel this life changing journey but we will always be here to pick you up and help you along the way!!! But trust me, it will be worth all the time, effort, and hard work that you will have to put into it!!!! Please remember to make healthy food choices and get plenty of exercise! As the weight comes off you will start seeing things about your body you forget were there! Things like actually seeing your knees, feeling your ribs again, your butt bone getting sore when you sit on concrete! I haven't been UNDER 200 in I know at least 30 years so everything from here on is going to be a new experince for me. I can't wait to see what my body will look like when I am at 150 (goal weight)!!!! Keep your head high!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

I'm really pleased, about 6 months ago i had a big sort out of my wardrobe and put all of my clothes that were too small away to be gone through when i'd lost weight. I've just moved and went through this pile of clothes and i fit into all of them! i now have loads more skirts to wear for work and it's a really nice feeling! It's even better than seeing the number go down on the scales!

I also had a little breakthrough before the weekend. The girls i work with were going out to lunch, and (luckily) i'd already eaten before they decided they were going out. So instead of going with them i popped to the shops and ended up buying a new book which is the sequel to a book i'd previously really enjoyed. The booke cost the same, if not less than lunch would have, and i've really enjoyed reading it over the course of the weekend. So from now on, unless it's for a special occasion, i think i'll skip work lunches and treat myself to a new book, makeup, or something else where the enjoyment will last much longer.

congrats on all the new sexy smaller things you can enjoy wearing.. isnt that a great feeling!! show off those legs in those skirts. you earned it.

I agree about clothes fitting beats the scale anyday.. I just got into 2 pairs of my skinny jeans and it feels wonderful. we are more than just numbers on a scale. were strong, sexy and beautiful.

way to go on skipping the work lunch and treating yourself to a new book. I love reading too. what book did you get. I just finished the garden trilogy by Nora Roberts. Thattype of pleasure and enjoyment is way more satisfying than food anyday. keep going.. your doing great!

well I have been dealing with alot in my life, but through it all I am getting stronger and still making healthy choices for me..

I have done my share of emotional eating, but it gets me nowhere and so therfore its not acceptable to do. slips and slides happen, but getting back on track is important.

I use to want to continue this journey to shove my new body in my soon to be x face and be like see what you walked away from but now I realize . I dont care about revenge.. I care about being healthy and living a long life and being there for my loved ones

I have released alot of weight, but I still have more to go to be healthy.. I dont really have a ideal weight . 145 is my goal. about 40 pounds.left to go. but I read in eat to live our bodies know what our ideal goal is and will continue to lose weight until we reach it.

so one day at a time

so today I cooked a huge pot of soup.. my parents were down and I helped my bro cook chops, salad, and salad with dressing..

I ate the soup and a salad with spritzed dressing.. so I made a healthy choice

I also went to the GYM so its small steps= big goals

My Accomplishments!

Since October 31, 2008 I have lost 51lbs!

I weighed in at 295 at the doctor's office and knew that I needed to make a serious change. That night I went out and ordered "Turbo Jam", started a food journal, and began my journey to a healthier lifestyle.

Since then....I've lost a total of 37 inches...I exercise 5 - 6 times a week and have steadily lost weight every week (SLOW AND STEADY!)...My clothes are falling off of me, my bath towel fits all the way around me now, and I am eating foods that I never thought I would like!

To celebrate surpassing my 50lb weight loss goal, I went out and bought a new cook book :) I have a long way to go, but I am ready for it...bring it on!

Hi there!

Just copying and pasting from a review I wrote recently for Vega Sports Drink mix:

**Cut and paste**

Wow! Thats the best way to describe, I thought for sure I was going to be tired ALL the time, sore and just plain miserable. I know this product isnt for my conditions (bi-polar, adrenal fatigue, poly cystic ovaries) but I was getting desperate and feeling the need to get that damn coffee/starbucks addiction as far away as possible! This is really making my life feel optimistic and much better than before. I felt like my tiredness and aches were just gonna have to be dealt with FOREVER and I could never achieve proper gym time because of it. I mean - Im only 26 (27 on july 22nd)... Thank goodness for this - please know that I thank you so much!

Wow Lynneta! Way to go fitting into those size 12's! I can't wait until I'm back down to that size again.

My recent accomplishment - I no longer have a problem with snacking. Even when I'm stressed out I no longer hide in the fridge and eat to comfort myself. This is a HUGE step for me.

I'm completing a 14 day personal challenge of not eating sweets (only 2 more days to go!)

Alright y'all --- so I gained back 20lbs of the 100lbs that I lost in a little over a year. HOWEVER, I'm back on track....and getting into my groove again and I'm hoping to get rid of that 20lbs for good. And then some!

Things I'm proud of lately:

-- Worked out for 45 minutes each day for the last seven days :)
--Took a nice leisurely 3+ mile walk on Saturday afternoon and just enjoyed being alive (and stopped myself several times from getting frozen yogurt!)
-- Not having a single piece of chocolate, candy, or baked goods for over 3 weeks! :)
-- Gained half a pound this week, BUT my shirts are feeling more loose than they have been the last few months.

Seeing "failure" as success

I've had my "big" weight loss success. Went from being borderline morbidly obese to barely overweight. But we've all had success losing weight...many of us more than once. The hard part is keeping it off. This winter, I gained 10 lbs. I had always set myself a "ceiling" for weight gain. Baring pregnancy, I vowed that even if I gained a little weight, that when I reached 120, I had to do something to at least stop gaining weight, and, if I could muster the motivation, to lose some. Avoiding the situation was not an option (ie, not getting on the scale and relying on my clothes to tell me how much I've gained...um, clothes stretch! Your rapidly growing belly can just squish itself over your pants! You may think you've gained 2 lbs, but its really more like 10 to 15. And we have an amazing ability to lie to ourselves)

So. when I got to 120, I had to sit down and make a plan. I wasn't super motivated, so I just made some small changes to stop the tide...stopped the daily candy feed, switched from soy chai lattes to plain tea with a splash of milk. Then, after a few weeks, I got back on the wagon and have lost 4 lbs so far.

My success was in dealing quickly and effectively with a "motivational plateau." Sometimes, its the way we deal with failures rather than immediate success that proves to be the difference between short term and lasting success.

835: Your experience is really motivational! I've reached my goal weight a couple of times before, but I always end up overweight again a few years later. When I get to my goal weight this time I'm going to create a ceiling number too. I hope it will help motivate me to maintain what I've worked so hard for.

8:35.. first congrats on releasing so much weight and making it to goal weight.. slips and slides happen, but you are back in control and that says a lot about your motivation to get back to goal and to maintain it.. congrats on the 4 pounds released!!! your doing it and this time it will be lasting because your mindset is different than last time.. I agree with how you deal with the knocks of failure does define how you succeed.

I have released a lot of weight and have maintained it for years give or take five pounds that I yo yo with, but I am breaking that . I have never reached goal. I actually think I have been scared of reaching goal to be honest and I keep self sabotaging myself when I get on a roll with moving forward to my goal.. I will take your example and just keep moving forward and not be scared of reaching my goal and maintaining it. your right we can't avoid the situation we have to face it head on.

its all about being human and accepting were not perfect, but we can strive to eat healthy and treat our bodies right. baby steps= big goals.. small changes lead to big lasting changes.. thanks for the motivation to keep climbing my mountain and releasing the last of my weight to reach my goal and to maintain it.

6:15.. we will keep moving forward . all of us together we will reach our goals and we will maintain them. you have reached goal before you can do it again and this time will be the last time you have to reach it..

thank you both for the motivation and inspiration to reach my goal and to maintain it for life.

lets all keep going. I think you all are amazing..

So I've accomplished going public with my journey and being accountable ;=)

I have heard some good things about curves and some not so good things.. it depends on the person.. some say that curves is not a hard core gym and others like it..

my best advice would be to get a trail membership. sometimes you can go for a week with a coupon.. try it on for size and see what you think.. I know they have a diet plan as well as exercise

what others think and feel and how it works for you could be two different things..

good luck!!!

This is a great blog. I lost 37 since Dec. 2009 but it has slowed down. I keep getting a cold and stop the gym. I am also 60 and feel some gym aspects way too potent for me.

Can't I lose weight if I don't do weights? I am trying to be realistic for myself and a plan that i can maintain at this age and on. I do curves, no silver sneakers for me, I go to lucille richards for treadmill. I have another 20 to be ok with me. So i am on a weight loss mission but I have been losing by following what would be - more or less - how i would eat in the future.
Is this good?

7:09.. first of all I am glad you are enjoying the thread I started.. feel free to drop by anytime to share anything.

congrats on the 37 pounds released thats amazing!!

if the gym is too strong for you.. you can always do dvds , or use home exercise equipment. or stick to the things in the gym that work for you.. the treadmill is great for doing intervals.. ellie is good.. thats short for elliptical. its easy on the joints.. the bikes would probably work for you.

you can do lower weights.. weights do not have to be heavy to be effective.. just do more repetitions is what I would do.

you can lose weight without doing weights, but the weights will help tone your body up. but cardio is great for weight loss.

as you age your metabolism slows down and releasing weight is harder, BUT not impossible. nothing is impossible unless you allow it to be.. I always say,

don't let your age hold you back.. in fact I want to be you when I get to be 60. working out and still caring about living a healthy lifestyle.

keep going.. be persistent, but be patient with yourself, but keep doing what works for you.. you are on the right path .. doing what you can do for long term and its working.. it doesn't matter how fast it works.. slow and steady wins the race.

stay strong , proud, and fierce.. your doing it!!!

I am so PROUD of you!!!

I have been discouraged and i keep coming back to this list of motivations to remind me of what beauty looks like.

I think someone posted about their struggle and how it was the "failures" and not the successes that they began to really learn.

I am at a stand still because I am feel almost obssessive with losing weight, and that is not good. But what is good is that just doing the "next right thing" has helped me.

Thank you!

1:05 - Sometimes I feel almost obsessed with losing weight too. I'm not sure if it is actually an obsession so much as an emerging lifestyle change. At first I had to be so careful and I would obsess over every calorie and every workout, planing in detail. Now that I'm getting used to it I don't have to obsess nearly as much because it's becoming second nature. I'm sure I'll eventually move into cruise control and be able to do everything without obsessing.

I'm proud, because yesterday it was the 1st time that I recognised my binging pattern and didn't give in! :-) I slept too little the night before and was totally exhausted on Monday morning. Old pattern would have been: work from home, do no workout and eat whatever was in reach (or even order in pizza) and feel terrible. But instead I kicked my butt, did my morning workout, went to work and ate healthy. The only thing which I didn't do was my yoga class yesterday, but I will go today instead.
In the evening I figured out why I felt so weak: my menstruation started. I still have some cramps today, but since I eat the ETL way, I feel much better.

Have a nice day y'all!
cheers, Sonja (oh-lilian)

I've started jogging every day. I go hiking every weekend, and in 6 weeks I lost 17.5lbs

Congratulations

Congratualtions, I have just started back for the probally 20th time but for some reason I feel different this time. I am really excited about the possibilities. I have got my husband to participate this time so I will only have to so one meal. Since I teach I realized it would be easier for me to begin in the summer.

I brought Dr. Ian Smith Smash the Fat. book and had the book for a whole year before I even opened the book. A friend told me she was going on vacation and needed to loose a couple of pounds and would be starting the diet pretty soon.

I just started reading the book one day and got my husband's interest. Before I knew it he was going to the gym and eating and following the diet to the fine tooth. I brought him a copy so, we both had our own copy. Before I realized it I was walking 3 miles a day for 5 days and had done 15 miles after the first week. I did not loose the 4 pounds he talks about I lost 5 pounds in one week.

Getting ready for Cycle 2.

I've lost just shy of 20 lbs (only 0.8 lbs and it WILL be 20!) since mid-July, and brought my cholesterol reading from 'very high/dangerous' down to the high end of the normal range (but is probably even lower now - I don't get tested again until November). Dropped almost 2 clothing sizes and can now walk right past the 'Womens Sizes' section of the store. Also, my near constant heartburn went away, and I sleep much, much better at night.

I haven't gained weight since July. Before that, I had gone from 130 - 150 in less than a year.

I've also cleaned up my diet significantly, and been able to loose weight. Although I've yo-yo'd some due to alot of travel for work, I've lost about 4 lbs. (down to 146). I'm confident that I'm developing the skills I need to keep this (and future weight loss) weight off permenantly.

I've got two more pounds to finish off a 20 lb. weight loss. Motivation. A killer Donna Karan suit which I will wear this Saturday. Shallow-yes. But it worked! Next goal, maintain the weight loss!

Lost 13 pounds

I lost 13 pounds and have 11 to go. I can't wear my big pants now, and my regular pants fit again. I had fun buying some new underwear today!

I'm not quite as I thought I was

I've been avoiding the scales for about 9 months. I thought my weight was aroung 95-100kg. I weighted myself this morning, fully clothed and after breakfast because I just wanted to know an approximate weight. Well, I was 86.8kg. Which means I hadn't put as much weight as I thought I had.
I've been dieting seriously for a week and my clothes feel much looser, especially my sweaters. I am so motivated!

beat the apathy

I came back from class today incredibly tired and almost skipped my run, but then I just told myself that I was just going to change my clothes, then that I was just going to put on my sneakers, and then I went for a three mile run! yes!

I can finally wear knee-high boots again!!

So, I was never really overweight, just had large (mom calls them, "strong") legs. I haven't fit into a pair of knee-high boots since I was about 14-ish. I've just been super, super busy moving (running around, lifting boxes, pushing them with my legs when I can't lift them, etc) and now, my calves have somehow gone down from 15.5 to 14! I can even tuck my pants into my new boots! On another note, my thighs (another trouble area for me) shrunk from 23.5 to 21.5.

I think I might keep a box or 2 packed up just to move it around for exercise at the rate that this is going.

I'm eating so much kale I often have to run to the store to buy more between my weekly shopping trips.

I've started planning out my healthful dinners from week to week and I'm saving a TON of money at the grocery store! That includes organic produce and meats. Definitely confirmed for me that eating well does not have to cost more - so far I've saved about $1500 this year just by planning and only shopping once a week.

My young kids eat their greens first and often ask for seconds. Yay!
