Skinny B$tch diet
Has anyone read this book, or following the diet plan? Basically it is Vegan, organic. Just curious about the book.

if the diet consists of consuming skinny b*tches, i think it's probably not vegan.

I've read this book. It's awesome. I need to read it again!
As far as the diet...I'm not ready to be vegan..I'm not even vegetarian (yes there is a difference). My hubby is vegetarian but I haven't gone there completely yet. We have no meat in the house but I eat chicken when we go out. However, this book has a lot of good points. The idea is if you want to look like those famous people ya gotta really cut back and choose healthy options. I took a few tips and use them. So I suggest reading it. Least you might find some good ideas in there!

I loved this book, it totally changed the way I looked at all foods, I also loved the straight talking. We have become such babies in this country, we want to feel no pain, no uncomfort. Loved it, recommend it to all who are serious about dealing with food issues.

I picked the book up a couple of months ago. A great title, but nothing new other than good marketing. Even the hard core vegans like Dr. Fuhrman have backed off a little. The research shows that some meat in the diet is good for you.

Hated that stupid book. Wanted to slap those bitches into next week.
It was too in your face, too strident, too, well, bitchy. I tossed it in a book donation bin after about 2 chapters.

Read the book...also read Eat to Live...they both annoyed me in a way but I'm trying to cut back on the meat myself...I try to eat more fish and only red meat once or twice a week. There's nothing wrong with meat at all and a little bit is good for you. I love my veggies and fruits so I base most of my eating on them anyway. Meat is like a treat!

They are skinny though
I liked it. I thought they structured their arguments well and provided a real handbook to change the way you eat. I didn't find it practical but I heard there were follow up books so those might solve the question of 'how do you actually do this?;. Thought it was no nonsense and I would suggest reading it.

Skinny
Actually, meat is not good for you in any proportion. Meat production in this country is full of chemicals and steroids which get passed on to you. New research shows that these chemicals are making us fat. And the fat in meat goes right to your belly and hips. This applies to chicken too.
Plus factory production of meat is incredibly inhumane.
The problem for you is where do you go from here? The oceans are overfished as it is. You could eat farmed fish but again, there are toxicities associated with that.
So eat more veggies, fruit, whole grains... It is a big transition but your body will thank you.
Yes, I am vegan, 53 years old, and my arthritis and colitis disappeared when I went vegan.
