9.6 pounds in 17 days, I'm eating 3 small meals a day with a couple snacks and keeping my calorie total between 1350 and 1500 a day and am trying to walk at least 15min a day I'm 5.4 and 233 lbs now, at every meal I'm trying to always have protein with my carbs and keeping the fat grams low, oh and drinking at least 64oz of water a day, My goal is to lose 2 pounds a week and by next July I will start a thread that says I DID IT!. good luck everyone

This is the 12:05 poster
I have been eating an average of 850 cal a day with 1 day a month off to have whatever I want.

The trick for me is finding low calorie foods I like. And right now it is easy with all the good fruits and veggies.
And I am very committed. Ok and lucky. However I don't lose as quickly as I used to. 15-20 years ago I would have lost at least another 20 pounds by now.

And before you all give me a hard time for such low calorie intake. I am under Doctors supervision. Not to worry :)

Wishing you all the best

20lbs in 17 months - and it comes off groups of 3-5lbs at a time, then a plateau for several months. it's all been through lifestyle modification, no intense exercise or strict dieting. i park farther away, take the stairs, get a second helping of veggies and pass on dessert, etc.

13 pounds in 8 weeks. I usually lose 2 pounds a week but some weeks I will not lose. I have just been counting calories with no specific calorie goal, just lower! I don't exercise regularly but I'm planning on adding that in. At times it feels like slow going but I am confident I will keep it off, and this way has been much more realistic for my lifestyle than a shortlived restrictive diet.

11:25 PM & 11:43 PM OP???

Could you tell me some ideas of what your exercise and eating routines are? I'm aiming for that type of loss as well. I know it will take hard work & dedication however I am willing to put in that time.

I'm a 5' 6' woman and started out at 193 on July1st. I'm currently at 184 (I was going strong and then regrettfully slacked on the eating a few weeks ago - but I'm back). I'm sure slacking is one of the things you are NOT doing. :-D

Any advise or tips would be apprecaited. Thanks.
