Jamaica07 in St. Maarten's group
I noticed in the St. Maarten spotlight group a member whose name is Jamaica07. I'm not sure how I am able to post a comment but I was wondering if this person could post up a pic of her before she lost the 15 pounds (and she's not finished with her goal I think). She has a before pic in place already, but there is no way that is her "before" shot lol. She looks so amazing! I have about 20 pounds to lose and would one day be able to wear a bikini like that!

Hey there! I am Jamaica07! The before shot I have up in my profile is of me last summer. I had worked really hard to get in shape for my wedding. Shortly after, I developed some health problems (too personal to go into) & I started taking meds that affected my ability to get up & go...long story short...I gained some major weight in a very short period of time. I wasn't working out & I was eating way too much. I decided to put that picture up because it serves as my own personal motivation. I am much, much healthier now & am able to work out again. I have worked on my all or nothing attitude & have lost 17lbs since April. I am still 20lbs away from my ideal weight but I am feeling healthier & healthier everyday. Thank you for the compliment!

Thanks so much for your response! Your story is really inspiring. I am an all or nothing person too, and it's something I'm still struggling, but it makes me feel better seeing someone like you, who have dealt with something and now is turning their life around. I know for me, I have anxiety/depression, and food was what helped me cope throughout the years until I finally got professional help. I'm still struggling with food but I know I'll reach my goals. I am about 8 years younger than you are, and hope one of these days I can get rid of this excess weight and be able to wear a bikini and look as good as you in that pic!
Good luck with the final 20 pounds. I'm sure you'll reach your goal in no time!

Thank you so much 9:15! Anxiety & depression can be so difficult to work through, but as you take the steps to heal, you will learn more about yourself & be better for it. It is wonderful to be working to change your life at your age. You certainly have the ability to put into your life what you want & need. Keep working hard & you'll be in that bikini!!!!
