Stuck in O'Hare, American terminal -- EXERCISE?! help. :-)

I have a long layover in Chicago O'Hare tomorrow, from 11:15 until 5:20. I do have to be at the departure gate well before 5:20 because it's an international flight. But other than walking laps of the terminal with my heavy carry-on backpack, does anyone have some exercise ideas?

Thanks, neon

yeah get on the CTA train which is connected to the airport and go for a nice walk downtown, put your carryon baggage in ur luggage and just put your running shoes on and you will be good to go. Travel time will be 30 min to downtown ticket will cost you 1.75 you cant go wrong

same poster again, only problem is that tomrw is gonna be 95 degrees which I forgot so walking outdoors will not work, just do some power walks and do it in HIIT form which is high intensity interval training where you pace fr a few min then go real fast and then alternate speeds

Yeah, I'd love to go for a power-walk downtown w/ someone! But I think the person who had to sit on the plane all the way across the Atlantic after that might not enjoy it so much if I'd been walking in 95-degree weather. :-)

Also, I'm going for work so have the computer -- can't really check my carryon, unfortunately.

thanks!

terminal

find a terminal where no flights are leaving from and work out for 30 min. do litlle cardio moves in 3-2 -1 circuits:
3 min cardio
-step-touch, knee lift, side leg lift, standing kickbacks, grapevines, jumping jack, walking/jogging in place, leg kicks.

2 min strength training without weights
-lunges, squats, push ups, plies squats for inner thighs, 1 leg plies for calves.

1 min abs
-plank 2sets of 30s, crunches for obliques, upper abs, reverses for lower abs, any ab moves you know of, for 1 min.

Do 5 cycles of 3-2-1 without any break in between, and stretch your entire body. The by-standers or other travelers will think u're bonkers, but you'll get your workout done. After that go to the restroom, get cleaned up and have a snack. It will all take an hour, and by the time you board, you'll get a good nap. good luck.

OP here -- hey, Panera's a good public place to meet, no danger to my person there. Danger to my healthy eating, that's another thing! :-)

Thanks 8:05.

orignal male poster: I apologize if I came on too strong, forgot I was posting on a public forum and of course everyone has to put their two cents in, I was honestly trying to helpful and I admit I wouldve enjoy meeting someone from peertrainer, but after 639pm comments I can understand the skepticism
