BRAG AWAY!!

One of my teams does this, but I thought it could make a good thread...
Did you overcome a tempting food situation today? Made yourself work out even when you REALLY wanted to sit on the couch today? Walked away from someone trying to push "just a little" cheesecake on you?
Time to brag! Say "woo-hoo for me!" Maybe having an official place to brag about it later will inspire you to make the right choice!

I'll start...

Okay, it's a little one, but I got out my bike for the first time in quite a while today. Muscles being worked in a whole new way, and it was HARD... I almost turned around after 5 minutes but decided if I just kept riding a little farther away from my house, I'd be forced to ride back and ended up going for about 5 miles.
WOO-HOO!

Nice going 11:23pm! Doing something new and keeping at it when it's hard are commendable actions! So often we want to bail when it's hard - yeah for you!

I went to a birthday party today and I said 'NO' to the pizza, the cake and ice cream, the chips and dip, the pasta and potato salads, and pretty much everything else they had there! I stayed outside with the kids, drank my water, and went home a happy person! And, despite being starving when I got home, I had a small, sanctioned snack to tide me over until dinner.

there are people on this site who i swear are deliberately screwing with every thread just for their own amusement. you say "let's talk about victories" and they complain about failure. you say, "let's talk about healthy fruit" and they rant about weight loss drugs. you say, "let's talk about painful past moments" and they obnoxiously insult everyone. you say "let's talk about gym morons" and they defend everyone you're comlaining about. could it possibly be the same person each time? is there someone named churningbutter on our site? =)

Yay for everyone!

Yesterday I didn' t eat much all day, and then around 10:00 pm, my mom came home with AALLL this delish food from the store. Sure, I could have binged on sausages, muffins, potato salad, fried fish, and other goodies, but I had a cup of yogurt and went to sleep :)

I was proud of myself. I was with a group of people that don't eat the greatest foods and one of them brought a bunch of food to share. Baby back Ribs, buffalo chicken, etc you get the point. I stuck to my guns, even though people kept saying "oh just a little won't hurt" I was very happy with my salad and small grilled chicken breast. I did have a WW ice cream sandwich with everyone, but only after checking calorie and fat content. Not so bad!

I went out with a bunch of my friends to eat at Applebees, and since all of my friends are teenagers and !!!SKINNY!!!! naturally, they don't eat the healthiest things.

So, among the cheeseburgers, fries, chicken wings, pizzas, sodas, and other not-healthy stuff was my WW confetti chicken with broccoli on the side =) All together the whole thing is like.. 350 calories? Oh, and water =)

I felt goooood. =)

I don't know if you classify this a woo whoo moment but yesterday was my birthday and as I have 1 planned cheat day a month I ate whatever I wanted. But today instead of finishing what was in the fridge (all my favorite foods) I am right back on my diet where I should be. And it hasn't been too difficult.
And ya I agree it is great when people start noticing.

Great going to all you out there who work so hard at this and sometimes we are the only ones that notice.

I graduated from beginner to intermediate pole acrobatics today! My upper body is finally getting some definition and tone. And its totally liberating to do pole tricks in your underwear with other women who are super-feminist, not professional dancers and really supportive.
