I want to lose about 5 or 6 pounds and apparently this is more for people who want to lose a little vs a lot.

alli

I was thinking about it, because I really want to lose like 10 pounds. I haven't heard too much about the product, though.

It has me curious which means I would consider it if I thought it were truly beneficial. I wouldn't want to use any supplement as a long term solution because I believe my success lies in my ability to make healthful choices everyday of my life.
A boost every now and then when I reach a plateau is a consideration for me.

I heard there were to be promos for it before it reaches stores all over America on July 1st. I've seen the ads in magazines and you can read more about it at myalli.com.

Hey 2:20!

No it wasn't me that spammed, I'm just a little late on the debate. I saw the coverage of the new diet pill on TV and just not got around to asking about it.

Good observation though, shows you have a life as you are constantly on pt.

get the facts before you blog

actually, i've used Xenical in the past, which is a higher dose than Alli and through prescription. It's amazing IF YOU TAKE AS DIRECTED! You can't take it then eat a steak. The more fat you eat, the more likely you are to have severe colon incontinence.

Go to the Xenical website (like below) and see what they recommend for a diet plan. It's even broken down by calories. if you eat less fat, you shouldn't have too much of a problem.

This is from my local paper

I thought about it too, but any product that comes with the suggestion I travel with a change of clothes has me concerned. I'll opt for slower weight loss & less risk of explosive pooh!

2:44 here- the side effect i'm concerned about is "anal leakage". how common is this? obviously you have less when you eat less fat, but i can't imagine having to wear a pad for my pooper!

I really abhor when people ask a sincere question and someone replies with a sarcastic put down. Does your anonymity make you bolder or you just don't care?

4:38 here

Hope I'm not the one drawing the ire of the sarcasm police! I've actually done a bit of research into it after reading about it in my local paper. From everything I've read, the butt problems are quite common, especially if you exceed 15g of fat in a meal (which can be easy to do if your not paying attention) Results are a greasy, sometimes explosive pooh. Those who've experienced it say they couldn't leave the house. That seems like a high price to pay for a bad meal choice, but that's my opinion, not intended as sarcasm.

On the other hand, it could be a really good motivator to stay on that low fat diet - kind of like a big, stinky shock collar!

I think the comment speaks for itself as to which one is sarcastic.

C'mon... seriously... We don't need diet pills when we have PeerTrainer... Isn't that the point? I've had to leave 2 different groups as of late, because of recommendations from fellow members that I take PILLS... If you do this, and you lose the weight, it will come back two-fold... just a thought. But who am I to judge, to each their own... just be careful.

(Note: Just released? sounds like a bad idea)

pills

I have taken Adipex in the past with great success and there was no explosive pooh effect. I plan to try the Alli as I only have a few more pounds to lose. I have seen a doctor and learned healthy ways to eat and portion sizes but eventually you reach that plateau where you have 5-10 lbs. left and it isn't budging. I am hoping that this new pill will give me a little push off of the plateau. Alli is in stores in my area on June 14th.

i just read this article about Alli. the author doesn't go into gory details but chronicles how she lost weight without it. it was inspiring for me that pills aren't always the answer.
