What kind of wine? Hopefully it is red. If it's red, don't feel bad, a glass or two of red wine everynight is fine.

red wine has the health benefits but light wines, blush & white tend to have lower calories

they say one alcoholic beverage per day is good for your heart...studies show that one glass of wine (any kind) can be better for you than none or 6. Drink up! :-)

Just make sure you count it in your calorie count, or points, or whatever plan you're following. I rarely drink b/c I'd rather eat my calories, but to each their own! Just remember that a glass and a "big glass" do not have the same number of calories!

Well I feel bad to say this on my log, but when I drink it liquor. I know it's bad for me but every two weeks or so I will have rum or vodka. If I go to a party It's more than one cup.

red wine

I think that if you like a drink or two, you have to work it into a calorie controlled diet, I love chocolate, but not as much as I love red wine, bread, mmmmnnm, but not as much as red wine. Try to find a way that will enable you to stick to your new eating plan, something that allows careful indulgence.

My favorite calorie saver summer drink is 1/2 a glass of chard., ice & selter water w/ a slice of lime. Nice, refreshing...I can feel social & have a taste of alcohol w/out the calories.

alcohol

my brother just lost 79 pounds and looks so good- he drinks wine everyday and still does- but he does not eat bread or very many carbs- it seems that you can drink wine-red or white as long as it is the drier style- but for me i make sure i exercise and stay more away from carbs i do not need and I still lose-

I've posted something about alcohol before at my team site but I can't find it.

It was an interesting website about how the body processes alcohol. It's not so much the calories that are troublesome, it's the fact that the liver releases something when it breaks down the alcohol and our bodies will burn that substance for energy before anything else. WHen you workout the day after drinking, you are going to use that substance first.

Fascinating.

My bro quit drinking his usual 2-3 beers each night and he lost 20 lbs without adjusting anything else.

I have the same problem! I love a good glass of red wine the biggest problem for me is that i want to snack on something after a glass or 2.
