TMI - question for large breasted girls...
Do any of you ever get a rash under your boobs? I have one under one of my breasts. I have one under my left breast. I just noticed it a couple days ago. I think I may have gotten rid of it...but just in case it comes back...what do you guys do about this?
Thanks!

In the warm weather, I actually strip off from the waist up and wash my breasts in the bathroom sink and fully dry them afterwards. Suggestions I haven't tried (because washing them 2-3x during the day does the trick for me): powder and/or Desitin.

Powder works...and body glide
Powder does work but it can get out of control and messy. I usually put some body glide under there and it keeps it from rubbing and irritated. You can get it at drugstore.com or at sports authority. It comes in a stick and is easy to apply. I also use it for my inner thighs and anywhere else that "rubs"

yeah, this has only just recently become a problem for me. i use grapefruit seed extract (spray) and it works wonders! takes away the irritated feeling and gets rid of the red in a couple days max. i think the brand i bought is called bio-nutrients or something. it's all natural and environmentally safe.

Thank you to the OP !!!!!!!!!!!!!! - I was trying to figure out what was going on, as I am into my first summer after having a BA, and I never had this problem when I was smaller chested

I use to have this problem all the time, before I had a breast reduction. I talked to my doc and he suggested I change the sports bra I was using. (in addition to frequent washing and drying-- drying is imperative) I switched to a more "breathable" bra, and never wore it more than once without washing. It's a pain but it works. hope this helps!

OP here...
Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions!
It's funny that you mention the desitin and baby powder because that's what I tried. I just didn't mention it because I thought you guys would laugh at me for treating my breasts like a baby's bottom. LOL. I also tried the steroid cream you would use to help a yeast infection because I've heard that you can get a yeast infection under your breasts.
Not sure which fixed it...it was one of the creams though.

I used to have this problem, but I changed the style of my bra and haven't had it since. I used to wear the cheap bras from walmart and such. But for the past 6 years or so, I've been wearing Body by Victoria from Victoria's secret and haven't had a problem. They fit me much better than the cheap ones. They are more comfortable, better quality and no more chaffing!

I think it was the baby's butt cream! LOL, I had this problem before and that was what fixed it. :)

sounds like heat rash to me try using baby powders
Tuesday, June 12, 2007, 10:05 PM
I usually just wipe off under my breasts when they feel sweaty so that i don't get a heat rash...I never tried powder or desitin though, that may work since I have a baby...there's plenty of desitin to go around!

During hot weather, I always put baby powder under my breasts. Sometimes, I've had fungal infections underneath my breasts and then I switch to a powder with anti-fungal activity. That usually clears up the infection in a few days.

I've had this problem in the past when I wore certain bras but not one time since changing brands. A friend said she always uses her hair dryer on the lowest setting to completely dry after bathing. Good luck.

I have had this problem ongoing for years. I use calamine lotion after showering to take care of it. It usually keeps it under control for almost a week and then when it starts to come back I just aplly it again.
