Calling all voyeurs/voyeuses...

Not the peeping Tom type, just anyone curious to spy on my weight loss journey! My log and profile are for public viewing if anyone is interested -- and comments are welcome! :)

http://www.peertrainer.com/mainefrog.log

I am a 33 YO 5'2" female in a happy & committed relationship, no children (yet). I overcame bulimia about a year and a half ago and am working on losing about 30 pounds of post eating disorder, post divorce, post smoking *phew* weight. I am a nursing student (career changer) and graduate student in health education, sing part time in a rock cover band, and am a new runner (since spring 04). I have found peace and happiness in my life and am now ready for my body to come along for the ride. It takes time, but I'm committed. I'd love to share my challenges and triumphs and get input from others on their own journey. Blessings to you and yours in life and health.

Finding your peace

Hi Maine Frog. I think you are on the right track. Best of luck and remember to treat your body well as you trim down. It is a machine and it must be treated with kindness as it's the only one you will be given. It will respond but it must be pushed and coaxed as opposed to driven to the breaking point.

Best Wishes
A.

Thanks...

I couldn't have said it better and I agree. My credo is that a little discomfort is to be expected when pushing one's body to do new things; pain is NOT ok. It's served me well so far and I'm physically capable of things now that I never thought I'd be able to do. :)
