Where does the support go?

I joined a group last Sat. -New York Times article was the intro.- chose it for my proximity to group founder's home town, thought that we could exchange local knowlede etc. From day one she never posted, next member and I had good communication- 'til Wed. -not a peep since then, can she still be recovering fr. the Turkey tryptophan?.. so now I'm back to my original support system....me! What is the attrition rate, is 5 days a record for dropping out?

Join more than 1 group

I had the same experience - in my original group, there's one consistent poster and the others haven't been heard from since 11/18. I created my own group, which others joined - and I'm happy to say they're more active posters.

To the original poster, pick yourself up and find another group. It was thanksgiving and I know a couple of people in one of my group went home for the holidays. There are many active groups here, and when one of my group goes inactive, I leave it.

Yes, join another group

I have joined many groups and now I am considering leaving half of them due to inactivity. Its a waste to be on a group and not post anything.
I am just waiting for people to start coming back from thanksgiving and then decide which ones are good enough to stay on.
All the best!

I think we've all had similar experiences. I ended up getting a couple of my favorite people from my other groups and making one group. I made it private and invited them to join. It has been great.

I definitely agree. I have been posting consistently, and it's lonely not to have other posters do the same. I do have one member that posts consistently, and maybe we can start another group together!
