LOW CARB BREAD
Hi;
I'm looking for tasty low carb hot dog and hamburger buns. Can anyone help me? Also, has anyone tried Nature's Own bread? Not to be confused with Nature's Path.

unfortunately, I haven't found one that's *both* low carb and tasty. But whole grain wheat breads like Milton's are SO good and the fiber in there almost offsets the higher calories in there (esp. in terms of WW points and general health).

Low Carb Wraps and Such
I ordered some from ebay. It was so so. I have found that a lot of the Mexican stores also carry low carb wraps and such.

Trader Joe's light wheat bread - 40 calories/slice, with (off the top of my head) 2 or 3g protein and 4 or 5g of fiber.

Other Breads
I'm not sure about of hamburger & hot dog bun, but here are some of the other breads I like:
Weight Watchers Bagels (2 points) 9 grams of fibers
Weight Watchers English Muffins (1 point)
Light Whole Wheat Thomas' English Muffins (1 point) - 8 grams of fibers
Ezekiel Bread - Very filling - Don't remember diet info off the top of my head - a little more dense of a bread - Hearty, but the spelt in it is good for weight loss. Keep refiged!
Lavash - Greek/Armenian flatbread @ Costco & Whole Foods - 1 gram of fiber but is Low CAL/FAT/CARB. Great as a wrap. I've wrapped a dog in it before!
Have you tried the Hebrew National Low Fat Hot dogs? May even be Fat Free? These dogs are showcased near the glass jar kraut & pickles. Not with the "other" dogs. :) Very good taste! The sodium is lower than you would think.
When I lived in West VIrginia and Ohio, I liked Kroger's light Hamburger& Hot dog Buns. If anyone in South Florida, knows of any great buns...please respond. I usually shop at Publics, Costco & Whole Foods...I may need to adventure out to Albertson & WinnDixie???
I hope this helped. If you need a journaling buddy, I'd love to help.
Respond to SS on this thread & I'll give you my group name.
I'm looking to lose 50+ pounds.
Have a "good" day & stay out of the kitchen! :)
