Caloric Needs Calculator
Prompted by comments in another thread, below is a link to a calculator. Google found a bunch of them and the ones I tried were all in the same range (give or take 50 calories per day). This one has a little more info on caloric needs for weight loss.

I've been losing 2-3 per week but according to that site, I should be eating about 500 more per day!
geez. I don't know about that.

I agree, I think that site overestimates. I marked myself as "sedentary," despite the fact that I fit the "light activity" selection, and it told me that I need 1750 cals to maintain my weight (5'1", 114 lbs); I aim for 1300 and seem to be maintaining!
Though, I do cheat, probably often enough that maybe I do actually average around 1750... Hmm...

I've had my metabolic rate tested...
1400 calories needed to lie around all day
400 calories to 'feed' my occupational activity
700 calories on average that the machines say I burn at the gym
Total: 2500 calories to break even
This calculator says 2322...closer than I thought it would be.
