Question About Groups
I understand that PT removes group members who are totally inactive after 7 days but I am a member of a couple of groups wherein some members have not logged or commented in well over 7 days.
How long does it REALLY take PT to remove inactive group members?
Does the group, short one or two members, then open up to new members?
I could not find this information in the FAQs.

I'm not sure about how long it really takes PT to remove inactive members, but I do know that as soon as a group has less then 3 members it's added to the "Groups" section for new members to join. The most recently active groups go to the top of the list.

I think all they have to do is log into the site. So someone may not be posting or keeping their log but if they're logging into PT I think they get to stay.

I have been in PeerTrainer for about 1-1/2 years now and have been in a lot of different groups. I have also seen this question show up as threads a few times, with a comment from PeerTrainer answering it.
The general rule PeerTrainer uses is that to stay "active" and not get dropped from groups, the member must post to his/her log---not just make a comment in the group.
A member can comment as much as he/she wishes in a group but still get dropped for not posting to his/her log. Conversely, the member can stay in a group as long as he/she wishes by posting to his/her log or by checking out on vacation.
If you are in a group with a member who is logging enough to stay "active" in PeerTrainer but who is not contributing to your group, one suggestion is to send this member a private message asking her/him to either become more active or to drop from the group.
I have done this and it worked.
