* Drink 5-6 bottles of water per day
* Raw Almonds
* Flax seed
* Yogurt
* Fish or omega3 in my diet
* Only 100% Whole Wheat products
* More Protein
* Excercise !!!! Any type of 30+ minute movement

I have but 1 rule

I must eat all my recommended servings (I go with the 7-8 serving recommendation) of fruit and veggies every day and prepare them in a way that is healthful. That is my only rule.

It's really amazing how everything else just falls into place. Oh I have days where I don't drink enough water, eat too much dessert or don't exercise, but that one rule has helped me lose weight and keep it off. That's really quite a bit of food.

I don't eat processed foods. I look at the ingredients first. My general rule is if it has more than a few ingredients I put it down. I also look at what the ingrediets are. If it has a scientific name with numbers it stays on the shelf.

I eat a salad at least once a day as my main meal with some lean protein on it. Protein at every meal. Snacks (nuts, cheese and fruit, etc) between meals. Lots of water.

The last tip of course is to move. I have been ative all my life. I NEED to move. If I go a day or two without it (weahter, travel, illness) I feel it. I now look forward to physical activity, whatever it is.

EASY! If I consume less than 1200 calories and walk 10,000 steps a day the weight comes off! Now, the HARD part is actually doing it :-)

When you cant EAT it...

take supplemants!

Like the comment below, I try to consume as many vitamins through my food. But on days when I'm lacking nutrition rich food (it DOES happen!) or want an extra boost, I turn to the cabinet.

I always keep a couple bottles of Omega3 supplemants, flaxseed supplemants, and general vintamins on hand. You can buy them at virtually any grocery store..even Wal Mart!

Also, I have found keep them in the pantry gives me a constant reminder to take the vitamins!!
