Hatha yoga

Does anyone use this form of yoga, or any other form, in their lifestyle routine? What benifits have you seen in your life?

Hatha Yoga

I practice yoga. I am not sure what kind it is but I find it reduces stress, improves flexibility and keeps me calm and centered. I do about 15 minutes every morning and about 10 minutes of breathing/meditation each evening. It is very relaxing.

Yoga has been just as effective in producing visible firmness in my muscles as weight training, plus the added benefits of reduced stress, blood pressure, Improved balance, flexibility and more consciousness about my breathing and relaxation responses. It doesn't raise my strength as effectively as weight training does, but I feel very good about my hatha yoga practice!

I do Hatha and I love it-I find it energizing, and calming at the same time-plus I'm developing tight, defined muscles because of my dedication to it. It's not as vigorous as Ashtanga but it is more demanding than many other forms. It feels right for me. There are many many different types of yoga and even more varied are teachers among each discipline. Take some time to find the style of yoga that is right for you-you really won't know until you try. Good luck!

I began practicing Hatha yoga in 1985. It helped me with flexability and stress reduction. I have also practiced power *(Ashtanga) yoga and that certainly is good for endurance along with flexablility and stress.
