I need your encouragement!!

Sorry to post two threads in such a short period of time but I wanted to let you know that I have started a public log and I hope that all of you will stop by and leave me comments and encourage me on my journey to lose 30 pounds.

I was reading an article I was linked to from PeerJournal and it said to think about why you want to lose weight. Of course I want to be thinner and more physically attractive. People always say that I have " a pretty face" but I don't want my size to be something people notice when they first look at me - I want it to stop being an issue.

But more than that I realized - I want to FEEL young while I still AM young! I am only 19 but I have the body of a middle aged woman. I'm not obese but I'm not healthy and I'm tired and lazy. I am always jealous of thinner girls who seem so youthful while I don't feel that same carefree juliant nature... I just feel tired and unhealthy a lot instead of the young college girl I am. You hear about 40 year olds looking 20 after losing weight and that is great for them, but I think its even more valuable to claim what is mine - my youth, while I still have it. Carpe diem!

Sorry this is so long, if you made it this far, thanks! And please comment on my log. I am going to need it!

you sound like me. i want to be fit and healthy too. If you need to chat just send a note. I'll be looking for your comments. Hang in there. Think about the positive. You are looking for support and their are a lot of people on here that can help cheer you on. I started a group with a title that would attract moms because I am a busy mom, maybe you should think of a title that will let people know that your a young college girl just looking for some support. People joined my group and filled it up the same day. Best of luck, keep in touch.

Hang in there.....one way to help with being tired is to start some sort of work-out program....maybe start off walking.....maybe around the track at school...the first two weeks you'll really have to push your self...your legs will hurt etc...but just keep going...take your IPod and jam & walk.....try increasing your water intake...don't eat after 7 or 8 PM.....go for good healthy snacks before you know it you'll see a difference......

ginaree, is your log public? I looked for it in the public logs section, but couldn't find it. I think you go to "preferences," and then you choose whether your log is public or private. Private logs can only be viewed by people who are in a team or group you belong to; public logs can be viewed by everyone on PT.

I need your encouragement!!

Hi I am, Traceynco
I feel for you.. I know where you are comming from. I wish that I would have taken better care of my self when I was 19... I am 37 now and have 3 kids and weigh 215 lbs. I want my sexy back too.
I have found as I get older that you have to be happy with yourself and the rest follow's. Take it step by step... Start off with a daily goal...like not eating that chocolate kiss. I have learned that the small things add up quickly and you feel so much better. Also try a good Vitamin to help get your energy level up and lots of water.
I wish you the best of luck.. YOU CAN DO IT!
