yeah i was surprised when he got shot too. i mean, it's locke! there's no way he's dead though. after all, the island healed him when he first got there. he just can't die. i don't believe it. :)
p.s. i'm glad someone else is still watching lost... alot of people i know have gotten frustrated with the lack of answers and given up on it.

Pretty please write "Spoiler" in the thread title next time. There have been other general discussion Lost threads on PT before so I didn't think anything about it. Not all of us are in the U.S. and see the show weeks and sometimes months after you. Just a request.

I read that they were going to kill off one of the main characters at the end of this season, so I'm pretty sure he's really dead. I'm sure he'll pop up in future episodes though.
And I think it's the best show ever!! I like trying to figure out the answers myself!! :)

i don't believe he's dead. the man survived a plane crash, was cured of paralysis, lived through a hatch explosion, etc. the island likes him. even if he is "dead" i'm sure ben will be haunted by some visions of him or something.

i think the main character who will die is charlie.

He was still alive when we last saw him. I think he will live! He provides a certain counterbalance to the cast that makes him essential .. they might keep uus guessing for awhile, though.

As far as this being a spoiler thread .. how can you call it a spoiler when the show has aired? Anyway, all you know is that he was shot. He was definitely still alive ....

That was my point. It's aired in the U.S., but not in the majority of the world, where it is also extremely popular. This was spoiled for me, though I understand why that may have been an afterthought. I was just mentioning it as I know of several PT members outside of the States and something similar may come up on another thread. As I said, just a request.

Hey, it can also be a spoiler for people in the US!! I still had the episode on my Tivo and hadn't watched it yet!! I started reading the thread and made myself click back when I saw, "That was a shock to me when..." I did unfortunately see Locke's name also, but didn't read far enough to know what happened to him or what he did!! :)

this is pretty annoying- and I have found it in other groups online as well. Why has PC crept into every aspect of our lives where people are not allowed to discuss something that happened on tv. Why should everyone shutup about everything just not to ruin it for someone somewhere that has not yet maybe seen it. The title said LOST- if you are that concerned about not knowing anything new- don't open the thread.
Even when I go to a movie and have seen the trailers... I usually get so immersed in the plot that I don't remember that I might have had a clue on what was about to happen to any of the characters.
For those not in the US- and connected to the internet, you can go to ABC.com and watch the whole thing on there... after the show airs of course.

Actually that content does not play outside of the U.S. (like much of the video on the internet. You may not be aware of this.) in order to protect the distributers who pay millions of dollars for the right to broadcast in our countries. I also mentioned that there have been several other Lost threads containing general discussion, not giveaways on the latest episode. I also already expressed that I wasn't in fact peeved with the OP, rather just a heads up for next time that spoiling might be possible. Far from expecting anyone to "shut up" or thinking they "aren't allowed" to discuss anything, something I always welcome, I simply asked the addition of "spoiler" somewhere in the heading. A simple "spoiler" takes no more time to add on than "OT" in a heading and far from being "PC" is general internet etiquette.

Geez, what a grouch 337! Nobody was angry about anything or yelling at anyone. And we're not asking you to sensor yourself or shut up!! I've also seen general discussion threads about the show and assumed that's what this was. And as I assume you already know, Lost operates with a bit of suspense throughout the show and within each individual episode, and it's more fun to not know what's going to happen at the end when you watch it.

I agree that Charlie won't die becuase they are setting it up that way ... but Desmond, as well as Locke, is such a straong catalyst for a variety of plot lines I just don't think they would do them in ... Hurley, Claire, Sun ... some other Others.

If you noticed where locke got shot it would seem very odd if he died unless nobody found him and he bled to death. I think Ben said that locke had given something up before coming to the island which could save him. His kidney? If the bullet was going to kill him it would have to rupture his kidney, but since he does not have one how could it rupture? Just a thought. One of my friends is on lostpedia.com all the time and this is where this theory came from.

loved the finale- and the fast foorwards which we found out later was the future... I kept thinking that (drs name on the show... preggo brain) was really on the straight and narrow, and why was he all bearded and taking drugs? Then it all became clear. And it shows that he wants to go back... kate refers to living with someone, is it Sawyer? does Ben get pulled into reality as well? gonna have to check out that site. lostpedia.com... hm. thankyees...
