To pill or not to pill ... that is the question
How does everyone feel about diet pills? Do they actually work or are they just a scam? Do they help in accomplishing your goal or do they just give you a headache and bad temper? Let me know. I started taking them a year ago and took one day's worth and the next morning found out I was pregnant so i stopped. Considering them, if they do what they say ... and no I'm not looking for a magic pill to zap my fat, just something to help out.
Thanx!

You may want to consider taking a vitamin instead of a diet pill. I take One A Day Weight Smart Advanced. It gives you all your daily vitamins in one, and it's supposed to increase your metabolism (which I think it was proven that it really doesn't speed it up). But just as a vitamin, it's good. And it has 100% daily value of Folic Acid, in case you wanted to have another baby.

I take TrimSpa about 1 week every 6 months to give me a jumpstart. It probably does nothing, just reminds me I'm trying to lose weight, but 95% of the time it helps me lose a quick 5-7 lbs. But don't try anything longer than a week or so. And if you feel sick...stop taking them! :)

My attitude about the pills is that if you're trying to lose weight to be healthier, why take something that could impair your health to get there.
Or as I heard someone say recently, Americans are being taught to think that any physical problem is the result of a drug deficiency.

pills are not "something to help out", they are a crutch that you can become dependent upon and they prevent you from being able to accurately guage the results of your efforts. why not turn to a pill (if you really feel the need) AFTER trying to accomplish your goals first without any pills? and when / if you decide to take any pills, i advise that you discuss the options with a licensed nutritionist or your regular doctor first. you know, most diet pills are not regulated by the fda and there are many potential side effects / long term effects that no one is yet aware of. and if you plan to bear more children, you should be aware of ALL of the ingredients in the pills and ALL possible reactions. pills are too much work, if you ask me. the good-old-tried-and-true method of less calories in than out is really what you should try first.
