Winter weight gain starts now!

In Des Moines IA we got our first snow today. Unfortunately, this is when I start to lose control and with Thankgiving 8 days away it makes me a little nervous! I'm already depressed that it snowed and I have been dealing with many other stressful issues does anyone share the Winter blues with me?

I completely understand what you are going through! I have SAD- Seasonal affected diorder, which causes me to be very depressed in the winter due to it being dark outside. The weather REALLY influences my mood.
Try therapy, getting a light lamp or going tanning every once in awhile.

I find this time of the year the best to lose the weight. Eat a lot of oatmeal, and soup, and the weight will come off
turn on all of the lights, and get enough rest you will feel better

I feel the same way, the hardest part for me is getting enough exercise when its too cold to take walks, I try to fit in more indoor activities like taking the stairs more often or dancing around my apartment. winter can be sort of soothing if i let it be... I take up craft projects, take bubble baths, drink tea with cinnamon, listen to jazz, eat grapes and have a glass of wine, read a long book, take cat naps...get involved in volunteering for the homeless during the holiday season. I personally hate the cold and winter all together but I like to embrace these small luxuries, they help me get through the dreary months.

Winter weght gain STOPS now! Just feels better to write it. Winter sports are the best. We can eat but we can go out and run around in the snow.
