Good arm workouts to help remove the flab?
My arms are getting quite strong, but I can't seem to trim the wiggly part at the bottom. I'm trying to look great in sleeveless shirts/dresses and my arms look too big and untoned. Do you have a favorite exercise or diet strategy that really helps that part fo the body? Thanks!

you'll want to find a dvd or exercise routine that focuses on the tricep. if you sit on the edge of a chair (a regular chair, one without arms) and you place your palms on the front edge of the seat portion, on the edges but with your knuckles facing the front, you can lift your butt up, hold your weight up with your bent arms and raise and lower yourself from a 90 degree angle to a 45 degree angle in front of the chair. do about 8-12 reps at a time, slowly and controlled. it works wonders. you can also hold hand weights, place your right, bent knee on the chair seat area with the weight in your left hand. mimick starting a lawn mower using your left arm...extend your arm (holding the weight) out in front of you at about a 45 degree angle and rapidly but with control pull your arm back with your elbow endin up far behind you, hold for a second. repeat about 8-12 times each arm for 3 sets.

The plank is also very good for all over toning, and if you bend with the elbows like doing a pushup its even better for the triceps.

Oh to be able to just focus one one area. Nope, no can do, doesn't work. Lose fat and you'll lose flap (get it?) hahaha. Honestly there is no one exercise that target just that area. I have talked to a lot of PT and they all say the same thing, you have to lose fat and you'll start seeing a difference in your arms as you lose.

actually it's true you can't "spot-reduce" but you CAN spot-tone!! I think the op is asking for exercises to tone her triceps-and since it is an area that stores fat later than other parts of the body (belly, hips, thighs etc), there is usually less of it, and the small tricep muscle develops much more quickly than the bicep muscle.
Do "dips" either on an assisted machine at the gym, on the back of a chair or step.
also try moves like these: (i'm linking some "slideshow" stills from Self Magazine-no it is not spam for the spam police.)
