Why does and in what ways does water help you lose weight?

--Naturally suppresses appetite
- Increases metabolism
List of reasons I found on the internet:
- Reduces stored fat deposits
- Improves kidney function
- Decreases fluid retention
- Helps muscles maintain their tone
- Aids in the prevention of sagging skin after weight loss
- Rids the body of excess waste
- Regulates bowel movements

Ah, my fav drink!
1. Water hydrates your body so that your energy is not sapped. You feel more energetic. Dehydration is a health risk
2. It cleanses your body of all toxins
3. It fills you up, so that you dont feel hungry and hence, eat less ;)
4. If you have water retention ( a common problem for over-weight people), then you have drink more water, to facilitate your kidney function and hence erducing water retention.
5. It also dilutes the excess salts in your body, helping water retention!
6. Water improves your fat metabolism
7. Water helps rid the body of waste. During weight loss, the body
has a lot more waste to get rid of -- all that metabolized fat
must be shed. Again, adequate water helps flush out the waste.
8. Water helps in constipation.
9. Water makes your metabolism burn calories 3% faster !
