Adam and Eve??
People are talking about Adam & Eve. I was taught the story when I was a child. Then in school I was taught that I evolved from a monkey..very flattering..I quickly stopped climbing trees and hoped it wasn't true. As I got older I found myway to God, so I am back in the Garden, Whew!!! =)
Any thoughts?
Mon. Mar 26, 2:20pm
Here are my thoughts: I enjoy a good debate about religion and politics as much as the next gal, but we already have about 5 of these going right now. Do we really need another one?
Monday, March 26, 2007, 2:31 PM
This is a healthy lifestyle/weight control site. Thanks for your thoughts but please try to stay focused.
Monday, March 26, 2007, 2:34 PM
The OP is either:
a) Part of the viral religious movement in The Lounge
b) Someone spoofing the viral relgious movement in The Lounge
c) A 10-year-old, or an adult with the mental capacity of a 10-year-old
If b), well, you didn't take the humor quite far enough. Darn.
Monday, March 26, 2007, 2:43 PM
jesus christ!! enough with this stuff already!!
Monday, March 26, 2007, 2:51 PM
I have never seen so many diverse view being expressed. I think dialog is good, Everyone is so politically correct these days that I don't think anyone says what they really have on thier minds anymore. The proof is right hear!!
Monday, March 26, 2007, 3:38 PM
you don't think people are expressing what's on their minds here?
Monday, March 26, 2007, 3:39 PM
2:51 Thanks for the laugh. At least we're not thinking about whats really on our mind.Food for Christs sake!
Monday, March 26, 2007, 3:50 PM
I am not religious but I have read the bible several times and several times I sought the advice of various religious men of GOD and all of them got annoyed at me for asking so many questions. They all said I just need faith, wtf??? What is that. I have faith in many things, myself for one and my family and friends but I can't imagine just putting blind faith into some organized religion that can't even be bothered to answer questions. How can you not question the bible? Jesus Christ wasn't even born in Dec. How can anyone in their right mind believe women were created from man's rib? The bible is just here say. I know religious people who have terrible morals and stand for very little and I know amazing people who are kind and good and live good lives, I can not believe that these good people will go to hell. There are just so many unanswered questions how can you not question it?

What we all REALLY want to know is:
Did Adam and Eve have bellybuttons?
If so, were they innies or outies??
Monday, March 26, 2007, 5:55 PM
4:26 poster
I would rather live the rest of my life believing there is a Jesus Christ, then to die and find out there is.
Monday, March 26, 2007, 6:31 PM
how iimportant is it!
Monday, March 26, 2007, 8:26 PM
I was thinking just MAYBE
this thread was about the OTHER Adam & Eve... think of toys of an adult nature... :D
Monday, March 26, 2007, 8:29 PM
8:29, you have a link for that? ;-)
Monday, March 26, 2007, 8:51 PM
Now that would be significantly more appropriate to a healthy lifestyle site than this whole eden/apple/snake/creationism debacle.
But if it can't be about sex toys, I'm happy to enter a bellybutton debate :)
Monday, March 26, 2007, 9:10 PM
Dang, I thought this was about the Adam & Eve adult site, too!
I too am wondering about the toxic religious tone that is being set in the lounge. I guess the best thing to do is ignore it.
Monday, March 26, 2007, 9:46 PM
To 6:31 poster - no one is debating whether or not there was a man named Jesus Christ. The debate is whether he was the son of G-d, or just a dilusional schizophrenic.
Do you know what happens to people nowadays who say they can talk to G-d? Especially the ones who get followers? Well, they drink from the special kool-aid together!
I believe Jesus was likely a very nice Jewish boy who happened to be unfortunately afflicted with a bit of mental illness, and a great deal of charisma.
Besides, for everyone who says "if you don't find Jesus, you're going to hell," just curious, but what happened to all of the people who lived before Jesus was born?
Tuesday, March 27, 2007, 12:12 PM
i've wondered the same thing!! and what about third world tribes who have no access to or have ever heard of the bible or jesus? i know clubs in NYC and Vegas are hard to get into, but this heaven place is really exclusive!! and who is to say that person (a) has a better interpretation of the bible than person (b)?
Tuesday, March 27, 2007, 12:25 PM
So Adam and Eve weren't "born" they were created, thus, never carried in a womb with an umbilical cord. I bet that they didn't have belly buttons! I never thought of that before!!!
Tuesday, March 27, 2007, 12:32 PM
12:32, hahaha, that made me laugh out loud, thanks.
Tuesday, March 27, 2007, 10:13 PM
While the belly button poster was funny, I instead laughed at the poster who couldn't spell dialogue or here. I guess believing in "G-d" does not make one more intelligent.

7:01
Do you always wake up so mean? I hope not.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 9:13 AM
i don't believe in god, but i believe in being nice about it. i agree that making fun of someone, or laughing at them, especially because of spelling errors, is uncalled for. just because you can spell doesn't make you more intelligent, either. it just implies that you had a good education with respect to spelling and the english language. it's more academic than intelligent.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 9:45 AM
Geez, you 9am folks need to go ponder your own bellybuttons.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 1:36 PM
and you write that why? because we entertain some level of integrity and respect for others?
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 1:44 PM
Because you need to get your righteous noses out of the air, and looking at your bellybutton will do that quite nicely. Too bad it doesn't also solve your lack of humor - your attitude is much better suited to the other religious threads.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 1:51 PM
Ever notice how most wars since the beginning of time have been in the name of religion?
All you religious people need to lighten up.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 1:58 PM
Hehe...I like how the woman who can't capitalize is defending the woman who can't spell.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 2:00 PM
yeah, i just do not know how you people are able to capitalize your letters! i am still trying to figure out this keyboard thing....you are so cool, hell shouldn't hurt for a while...
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 2:07 PM
i'm a man.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 2:07 PM
I wish these community boards weren't anonymous.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 3:19 PM
Gee, thanks for killing what was a fun thread on a board filled with blessed-be-the-lord garbage.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 3:22 PM
Its the fact that we are anonymous that makes people talk the way they do. If they weren't people would be all to politically correct and way to prim and proper. Its better that people speak their minds even if others don't share their opinions. It is what makes each of us human. Personally I think if people spoke their minds more often face to face things would be much different. To many people take things way to personally.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 3:39 PM
7:01 here
Yes, I always wake up so mean...maybe I should pray for forgiveness.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 4:16 PM
7:01, don't worry about it -- there are lots of people out in Peertrainer land praying for your immortal soul even as I type this. I'd say your ass is covered.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 4:28 PM
belly buttons
12:32 --- Exactly. This was the topic of serious debate for a couple of centuries! If you look at Renaissance paintings of Adam and Eve, you will notice that their fig leaves cover not only their genitalia, but also their umbilical region. No artist wanted to wade into that politico-religious quagmire!
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 5:01 PM
To the Monday 6:31 poster. I think you meant then to die and find out there isn't a Jesus Christ. Anyway don't you mean your belief in God? And here's something to ponder: If you die and there isn't a God how would you know and why then would you continue to think of it?
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 7:09 PM
Amen to that 7:09
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, 7:12 PM
Adam and Eve
Yep, I fell for it...DEFINITELY in the wrong room
Thursday, March 29, 2007, 3:10 PM
Music and God
I heard a composer say, when he was questioned about how one goes about composing a symphony, that He opened himself up and it was as if someone started pouring the music into his heart and he would begin to hear all the separate parts become one and his heart became that symphony, then he only had to transcribe this magnificense to be able to share it. Miraculous and exactly as God's love is to me. As time goes on I see all the parts coming together and He is magnificent and I am so blessed by Him in my life that I would like all to come to know and experience His great love.
Thursday, March 29, 2007, 9:50 PM
Humpf and oy!
Thursday, March 29, 2007, 10:49 PM
Bet you used your whole brain for that retort..You tell em!
Friday, March 30, 2007, 10:10 PM
10:49's response was more than the previous poster deserved.
Friday, March 30, 2007, 10:41 PM
10:49...I am amazed at you. Today's world has robbed you of your heart and it look's like you're going along with it. Ask yourself if you have found peace in your heart. If you haven't someone you come across might have something for you because they have already taken that next step. The motion is forward. Remember.
