Are any you trying to incorporate nuts in to your diet as a healthy snack? If not I highly recommend trying this. Just one ounce or half an ounce. Really helps me make it to the next meal, or avoid acts of low-blood sugar desperation like grabbing a candy bar in the check-out lane when I'm running behind getting home. Raw almonds or walnuts are fabulous and give you good fats.

I do incorporate nuts into my diet. I have a hard time determining what an "ounce" is though because I don't have a scale available. I figure 10 almonds = 150 calories or so.

I eat walnuts, almonds and trail mix for my afternoon snacks, usually with some fruit. Gives me plenty of energy and tides me over until dinner.

I would suggest getting a scale if you don't have one because it's eye opening what an ounce is! Dr Oz says an ounce is about a small handful - not a big one. It depends on the nut. Nuts have helped me so much.

I always overdo it on the nuts unless I mix them with something else (a serving is just too darn small). Something that works for me is to make a salad with raw spinach, dried cranberries, a raspberry vinaigrette dressing and some walnuts. They add a nice crunch to it!! :)
